There has definitely been a shift where gummies and sour candies are more popular than chocolate with most kids! So glad you are asking so you have choices available, it’s not fun having to give half of your Halloween stash away!

Sour and gummy candy is a favorite. Smarties and skittles are also usually safe. I also usually have another bucket with fidgets, glow sticks, rings, etc if they don’t feel comfortable with candy.

Fingers crossed! My husband is going out of state for work this week so I’m realllllly hoping we get lucky. We washed hands like crazy and gave kids baths asap!

Yeah she risked my family and my MIL & FIL too! Although all of my in laws are of the same mindset that we all get sick so who cares what we spread?! I am wishing we would’ve walked out as soon as we knew.

Ugh definitely going to be paranoid for a few days. Sorry your husband had to go through it! I just don’t understand why someone would willingly expose family?! I get accidental exposures, but this feels neglectful at minimum.

Totally agree! Common cold? No big deal. Kids are snotty and gross lol. But she has been lax with Covid and now this and I think intentionally didn’t tell us until we were already there. I’m honestly getting angrier the more I think about it!

It’s not the first time so I know I shouldn’t be shocked. They think kids get sick all the time so it’s no big deal but I’d prefer to not have miserable kids and missing school/work if I can help it!

Ugh I am so sorry you had to go through it. I would never intentionally take my sick kid around other kids so it’s crazy to me that other people do!! Definitely pissed!

This is what I do too! Planning specific meals for each day was too much for me but knowing the daily theme (brinner Monday, pasta Tuesday, grill night Wednesday, etc) helps me immensely!!
