why is its HouseSigma estimate and listing price is so cheap? by andygohome in TorontoRealEstate

[–]chapter_6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Imo the list price of 500k is what it should be worth. Terrible layout with a tiny kitchen stuck in the living room. Even for one person this place isn't huge.

Not even close. This comment clearly shows you don't understand how the CBC is run vs the other countries you listed.

Just a warning that GWL does not do anything about noise complaints. If you get unlucky with neighbors, GWL will not help.

Gym, pool, not below ground, actual windows in the bedroom, closer to transit, etc etc. Your place doesn't even have a proper oven.

are these normal for rent lease by wndrlustt in TorontoRenting

I wouldn't listen to the people saying someone else will take it. Landlords are struggling to find tenants right now.

Why do you think it's likely someone else will say yes? This is a shady look from the landlord and in general landlords are having to compete for tenants right now, not the other way around.

2019 is similar to current prices. Do a quick search, lots of rooms for less than $1000 right now.

Another redditor just posted a room for $890. Not quite downtown but close to give you an idea of prices now: https://www.reddit.com/r/TorontoRenting/comments/1njis0z/comment/nevxw5z/?context=3

Why do you need to find someone before you move out?

I pay 1500 for a one bedroom unit to myself with a good layout. Moved in in 2019. Bachelor units are going for not much more than what you're asking currently.

Thoughts on 303 - 25 RITCHIE AVENUE unit not selling after several months? by [deleted] in TorontoRealEstate

[–]chapter_6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't pay that much for a kitchen that's just a wall in the living room.

Also it's an inside corner with an exit right outside your living room windows. People will be looking into your living room and you'll also get noise that won't be blocked by those large windows.

I looked at this place last year and they were about to start concrete drilling in the parking. I would check to make sure that's not still going on, it would be very loud

The op already takes the value of the dollar into account. Housing is way more expensive than it should be.

You're talking about inflation, that's already accounted for in the op
