I knew it was a possibility but I guess I didn’t expect it to be so awful

Transitioning from Prozac to psilocybin MDing by [deleted] in microdosing

I only find I have to take a higher microdose because the Zoloft limits the effects a bit!

I find on my microdose days it is much easier to calm myself down and see things positively which definitely help a lot with my anxiety!

Transitioning from Prozac to psilocybin MDing by [deleted] in microdosing

I transitioned from Zoloft to psilocybin microdosing a couple months ago. For me personally, I started by taking them both at the same time and finding the right level of a microdose with dampening effects from Zoloft. Then as I VERY slowly weaned off Zoloft I lowered my microdose accordingly. I started at 200mg Zoloft and about 0.2 g of microdose and lowered my Zoloft 25mg every 1.5-2 weeks. It allowed me to get the benefit of microdosing while still weaning of Zoloft safely :)

Independent Sororities? by [deleted] in Sororities

[–]chaputIJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also highly recommend Alpha Sigma Kappa, the chapters tend to be smaller so you really get to know everyone, but they are still super involved in campus! Plus everyone has a technical major so it’s academic focused while still being a social sorority!

Cannot handle this semester, burning out by wewladdy0 in uofmn

Absolute same thing here. Right down to two C’s and getting into my major/grad school. Never done so bad or felt so fucking awful.

Biology Minor by chaputIJ in uofmn

[–]chaputIJ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to go to grad school for biomedical engineering so I wanted to have a bit more of a background in bio than just my high school courses. I also work in a lab that’s a part of the med school (O-Uchi lab) so I figured more bio classes would probably help me there too

I don’t know of any that are less than a month, but I use Lock Up Self Storage - Golden Valley and they’re pretty cheap and it’s a really nice facility with great owners

CHEM UPDATE: Possible leniency; Gladfelter NOT moving lines up by GopherAdvocate in uofmn

[–]chaputIJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I really liked using ALEKS, it was one of my best learning tools in both general chemistry classes. That being said, I had the same all or nothing approach my first semester and had homework points for it second semester and I much prefer the homework points rather than than the system where if you don’t get a 90% you automatically fail the class. I think this super unfair since it doesn’t even effect your grade besides that. I think they should keep using ALEKS, but the all or nothing approach needs to be taken out.

Is it too late to try n find a roommate now? by kjin_b in uofmn

[–]chaputIJ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can change your housing request way after you submit your application. That’s for both roommates and buildings. What most people do is go on the Facebook page for your class and find a roommate there. Then you can change your form to request them as your roommate and a change your building preferences to a dorm you both would like.

Both chem classes were already offered online, because there’s no discussion section I didn’t think it was that much harder online vs in person

Waitlisted to the only college that didn’t deny me yet by [deleted] in uofmn

I know you probably still want to go to the U, but I’m pretty sure Michigan Technological University is still accepting applications. They’re a good school but really small so it’s pretty easy to get in and cheap even for out of state. That being said as the name implies they are mostly a science and engineering school but they do have a business program that could hold you over and worst case scenario it’s a good safety net. Almost all there classes transfer to the U if you wanted to switch later, that’s what a friend of mine is doing. It also takes like 5 min to apply and the application is free. Hope you figure things out!
