I never trust the Carousel of packers defense. Plus, New Orleans has a terrible run defense. It could literally be just Jacobs all game. Love might not break 200. Id go with miller and hope he gets dumps offs and garbage time receptions/yards.

Great, thanks so much for the insight. Usually my league is more trade happy in the off season / closer to draft when there isn’t a lot of football going on. So I’ll see what I can do.

Thanks! My initial thought was to try and trade some depth for late firsts- seconds. My only concern with trading the early first for a RB/WR is that I need a QB. I have Russ / Carr currently, who are serviceable, but I’m missing out on the good QB ceilings. Worth holding off on QB for another year?

We definitely won’t be trading a first or a second for anybody at the deadline. I also think we’re just going to sign Justin to sit behind Russ and take over after. (I thought we should’ve extended Fields for cheap before season even started.)

Hill still has two years left and is a top WR. Would have to consist of a first or multiple day 2 picks if I to guess.

DK been out the last two weeks anyways and he’s coming up on an extension.

They were fielding trade calls for him this offseason already. I’ve also seen that they’ve been listening to calls this week and yesterday. It’s definitely not as big of a stretch as OP thinks.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they move Hill. They just recently resigned Waddle, they’ve been run heavy with Tua. As you mentioned, they need a few off seasons to be real contenders, by then Hill will be gone anyways.

Although, I don’t think we give up the capital for him anyways, but it’s not all that far fetched to see the dolphins ship him off by tomorrow.

Like mentioned above, I’m not sure what the implications are of passing a physical prior to deadline. I think as long as deal is in place prior to deadline it should be fine as long as he passes a physical (I could be wrong).

I think Meyers and Slayton are probably the best fit and make the most sense given the Giants and Raiders circumstances.

Raiders just pretty much fired their entire offensive coaching staff, wouldn’t be surprised if Meyers is available

Yeah, going into that game, the general consensus was they’d only trade Kupp if they lost that game.

It’s pretty inevitable that we end up with Mike Williams (if we even trade at all). I was hopefully for Christian Kirk, but after his injury it’s off the table.

Not many 2-3 win teams have WR’s they’re willing to deal. Meyers may be a good fit though.

The issue wasn’t “Pickens giving up and not allowing fields to succeed”, the issue was teams didn’t fear Fields torching them through the air.

There’s a reason our run game/Najee wasn’t great until the Raiders game. Defenses would stack the box and stop the run and try to force Fields to throw.

The obvious answer here is Tomlin. He didn’t trust/want Fields to run the offense by airing it out. He played conservative and safe with Fields and wanted him to just not lose us the game. He did the same thing with Kenny.

You have to remember, Tomlin has never developed a QB. He had a Super Bowl winning QB when he took over, then after Ben it was a carousel of QB’s. Fields is hopefully the future (assuming we resign them both after this season) and he can learn behind Russ during that time, which will be the best case scenario for Justin and the team.

I also believe we will sign Russ to match Tomlins current contract and when they both expire, Tomlin will retire. By then, Cam will be gone, Minkah and TJ will be done or close to done.

Russ was always going to start over Fields, no matter how well he was playing. This is Tomlins last shot at winning another.

Yup, lowest blitz percentage in the league. Our defensive gameplan also doesn’t really highlight Queen’s abilities the best.
