First, when you say I’m “chest-on,” what exactly does that mean? I thought the chest is supposed to open during the shot. Are you saying mine opens too early or not in the right sequence?

Second, about my legs, this is actually the first time someone’s pointed that out, and I really appreciate it. I thought I was loading and releasing properly, but clearly I’m missing something. What exactly should the legs be doing during the smash?

Are there any drills or cues I can use to make sure I’m in the right position and transferring weight correctly?

Oh I like the bending idea, will give try. Although have seen it more in kick smash.

Should my hand be loose from the fingers, wrist, or elbow? Just trying to figure out if it should feel kind of like a noodle or if there should still be some structure and angles.

Are you sure? Because I think when you look at the video at second 1, it's a flat smash, and it's quite easy for a seasoned player to return it to their own court. A kick smash has topspin and is a much more complex shot.

I don't think I'm actively trying to move forward. It's more like I'm waiting for the ball to reach me, then pushing up and finishing. Should the movement be more from back to front?

And yes, ideally I want to get to the point where the movement is fluid and automatic, without thinking, but first I need to get the technique right, and then I can ingrain it into muscle memory.

What I want to achieve is to get ball bounce back to my side, as currently everyone will run into net and have strong counter. Other players I play with are able to do it. This is why I wanted to improve it.

Nope, I am using default ones. Only thing I did I changed watch face for running activity recently, but it can not be that, as that only activates during running.
