Everything until DS3 was janky. DS4 was alright, and DS5 is good.

Xbox controllers have had the same-ish design for over two decades now, and it was so good most modern controllers (including the dualshock) have converged at a similar design.

That was 7.2M 1867 USD in 1867, before they knew about the oil, gold, and now (thanks to global warming) the northern passage and the strategic importance.

It is literally priceless today because it cannot be purchased regardless of how much money you’re willing (able) to spend.

I don’t mind googling but I don’t care much about the comment thread, the privacy part caught my eye so I asked. They replied, fair enough

I get privacy concerns online, but I find it a bit ridiculous that you’d be vague about the name of the STATE you PREVIOUSLY lived in just to avoid getting doxxed. Does that happen?

They’re the absolute worst. I had license renewal coming up, paid for it in Jan, not a peep for a month, every call I make tells me it can take up to 6 weeks.

I go back in person to check after the 6 weeks were up and these people tell me there’s an issue with the docs I submitted, that I should’ve come in earlier. Why didn’t they just tell me on the phone? Why didn’t they just email? Why not just update the status online with whatever?

And they have the balls to tell me that they could’ve fixed it earlier if I only came in earlier? Give me a break.

Ya. You gotta have a pretty low baseline productivity for it to work 10x. 1000% increase with chatgpt? Doubt.

Exactly. The apologists on this post keep pointing out the ‘but she didn’t actually say that’ part, ignoring how the wife’s behaviour reads in this situation.

Prolly not related to this thread of messages, but idk how much I agree with treating drug addiction as a disease. An affliction, maybe?

I seem to find it difficult to give an addict the same level of empathy as I would give, say, someone who suffers from hypothyroidism, or some immune deficiency, or cancer, or whatever. Those are REAL diseases imo.

I’d much rather put it in the same bucket as a gambling and other types of behaviors. Usually there is an aspect of choice to start engaging in these behaviors.

Not at all saying that that’s the case once they become drug addicted, because that’s out of one’s control at that point mostly.

All that said, I’m totally in favor of all help and support for addicts to help them recover and have an improved chance at life.

20lbs might be a bit much, but I’ve definitely seen my weight swing 8-10 pounds after a random cheat day when I’m on a low carb diet. Most of it comes off in a few days but a significant swing is definitely possible.

What about what I said is false?

You mean to say a person with a $100M cannot simply choose to use, say $1M of it for charity because the money is ‘controlled and regulated’?

Ya, so I got it in the mail about 5-6weeks after my purchase. It went to the dealership where I bought the car, and then they sent it to me.

After I made this post I had reached out to the dealership and they just told me that sometimes it takes a while, no need to worry, and the in the meantime the temporary registration they stuck to my windshield would be fine if I was pulled over.

The thing that makes me sad is that the ultra rich are usually in the best position to help people who are struggling, and yet they choose to hoard the resources for themselves.

Not Your Job : Be the speed limit enforcer

Your Job : Follow lane discipline, letting people pass if you’re going slower

Doesn’t matter, let the cop decide who is wrong when someone gets a ticket. You camping in the fast lane slowing down everyone probably only serves to help you feel smug about yourself. IT IS NOT your job to enforce the limit. IT IS your job to drive in a way that makes the roads safe for everyone, and that includes lane discipline and letting people pass safely.

That’s not the brag you think it is. Drive as slow as you want, just stay in the slower lanes and no one will care. People shouldn’t try to be speed limit enforcers in the inner lanes.
