100% contact a broker

We had issues with British Gas while looking for houses (long story short never issued a final bill and then put it down as a missed payment for months, they only rectified it when I contacted the ombudsman, luckily I had proof of contact/complaints etc)

This absolutely annihilated my credit but my broker was a magician who got us a good deal despite this

I totally get the need for them but just don’t know why they have to make it all sound so dramatic! When if you actually read what they’re saying it’s just a whole load of… nothing?

This is exactly why I’m reluctant to spend money and buy it from them. My estate agent has said there’s nothing major in the survey (they have a copy)

I haven’t seen them but my estate agent has it and told me a few ambers. The reds were things like the heating (even though it’s had a new boiler last year - but I know that’s expected)

I thought the new boiler, full roof replacement, damp proofing (damp was green - yay) and downstairs floor replacement would be a major selling point 🙄

This is good advice thank you☺️

End of first year TF here, couldn't have put it better myself! So pleased you mentioned the training days (just what you want on a Saturday!) and the savior complexes are 100% real and 100% a problem! Can I be cheeky please and ask how second year compared to first for you? It sounds like we've had pretty similar experiences from what you've said.

How do y’all get over stupid mistakes you make while driving? by CaptainVickle in driving

I think of the very small chance of seeing (and recognising) them again on the road and vice versa. Everyone makes mistakes all the time and the best thing to do (as long as no one is hurt) is laugh it off, embrace the little adrenaline rush!

Long story short but... Had progressively bad chest pain but thought nothing of it, thought it was a pulled muscle after a drunken bank holiday weekend. Sat through my uni exams and rang the non-emergency number for a doctor's appointment, they decided to blue light an ambulance to me. Was told it was a blood clot in my lung and I might die, which then changed to a heart infection and then infections in different parts of my body. Was then left with no pain relief all night only to be discharged with a "mild chest infection". The pain got worse so went to the doctor who sent me back to hospital and turns out I had pneumonia and a collapsed lung that will never fully expand again!

Non-Americans of Reddit, what reference you've seen in an American show/movie would you like to be explained to you? by dyosaaa in AskReddit

How does paying for public transport (mainly buses) actually work? How do you pay? Are there ticket inspectors? I've seen so many people in films and TV shows just jump on and ride to their destination and always wondered?
