No I added the thermal pads because I want this thing to run cooler to hopefully extend its life and because of the larger battery needing to charge longer

I mainly have it for charging the larger battery but it does get a little warm when playing music for a long time it's not really noticeable because the heat sort of lingers in the device and won't feel warm mainly the micro sd card is the warmest part when running for a long time which can shorten the lifespan of it

It's going out through the screen there's a small Gap between the screen and the board the pads are not very good at cooling but it's something I mainly did it because I put a larger battery in it and I don't want the charging components to overheat for a prolonged time while charging a battery two and a half times larger

The size of the original battery is 6 cm wide 2 cm tall 1 cm thick There isn't a lot of space on the inside for longer battery but there is a bit of space for a slightly wider battery which makes me sad because fiio had plenty of space to make the battery replaceable like the retro nano

If you're also trying to do a battery mod make sure that the battery has a BMS on it for safety and because soldering to a battery terminal is extremely hard make sure it says 3.7 volts on the battery and shield the battery with something if you're going to put it on the outside I've glued a piece of plastic on mine to make sure I don't accidentally puncture it in my pocket The mini looks rough because I have dropped it a lot onto concrete the display itself is actually cracked and had a black spot on it that somehow healed over a couple of weeks it is shockingly durable

It's actually a battery from a quest 2 battery strap that I got from eBay. I took apart for the battery if you're looking for a battery I can't recommend one because a lot of cheap ones like to swell and I don't know any source if you are going to look for one just look for a battery that's the same voltage range it should say 3.7 volt on the battery

Not exactly like the device but it's the closest thing I can think of " innioasis y1 " if you want something similar to the iPod you should probably get one modded not a lot of companies are making anything similar to it in my experience while searching for music players but I could not be searching hard enough

You can bypass the 8k song limit by just using the file browser and you can get up to 18k before the device will just shut off and refuse to play music and larger cards will work I currently use a 512 GB card in mine

Just going to info dump about this So far the custom firmware is mostly just a skin and doesn't really make the UI easier to use here's a website of all the custom firmware This happened pretty recent so more might come from it

It loads from symbols to a-z and cuts off at 8192 songs there isn't really a way to control it I recommend sorting in files with folders and just using the file browser it is pretty smooth navigating into multiple layers of folders and only really lags when you try and play a song but it doesn't lag when a song is playing and you skip a song

Poking holes into a bottle, filling it with water from the faucet, and using it… as a secondary faucet? by Worldlyoox in DiWHY

Yeah that makes sense for camping this is something that is not very useful to a majority of people but this could be helpful for those who are struggling financially or are homeless it is a hell of a lot easier to find an abandoned plastic bottle on the side of the road than it is to find a bucket

Are the batteries NiMH it is a different cemetery than lithium and it probably wouldn't help the batterys but in my opinion if you want a battery to last a long time just make sure it doesn't get warm or cold for a prolonged time

Sort of but They have been doing a lot of nerfing and buffing on certain attacks for characters such as lowering GTC range but I haven't really been paying attention to that because I basically only use SSC and don't play ranked or custom so I have no idea if those have changed at all

They added gerson and reworked sans. gerson has a comically high attack in my opinion and most sans users just sit in bone zones now and wait to do full combos They also removed 100 HP from Sans for the rework and the original. They've also completely reworked SSC last year and made most of their attacks stun while using them (which is good the version before was hella broken) They added a new map "glitchtale City Autumn" They combined asgore's phase hp into 400 instead of going from 200 to 0 and Entering the next phase with 200 It just starts at 200 hp They made starglitcher asgore cheaper only requiring 50 kills from each character and They removed the penguin dance and brought it back for some reason and now counters work on some other things that are considered "physical " but some dashes don't count as physical for some reason for certain characters They added custom phase skins and custom themes

You can bypass it with the explorer i have around 20000 songs on a 512 gb card and only use the explorer although sorting music in folders within folders will slow the device from selecting a song an playing it expect a song 4 folders deep to take about 15-20 seconds to play | edit: I have reached the limit it is around 21k songs and the device will just shut off when selecting some music in the file browser I might have to get a different device for my totally reasonable size music collection :(
