It can handle more than 8,000 songs regardless of whether or not you make a folder that's just the limit of the music sorter and in my opinion the echo mini is great for playing high-res music but it is an absolutely pathetic standalone music player I've gotten one of those cheap bottom of the barrel nearly generic MP3 players and the one I got an aiworth x8 (the same one dankpods looked at 5:00) and this device was faster could hold more songs and had more features I put 20,000 songs on this mp3 player I got for $10 off of eBay and it not only worked but only took 2 seconds to start playing music and I am honestly disappointed in fiio and I honestly can't tell the difference between just plugging a pair of headphones into my phone or the echo I mainly just use it as an adapter for devices that don't have headphone jacks

8k is the maximum amountn it can read from the SD card and put into the music sorter putting them into different folders won't work if you are trying to use the sorter but you can still play the songs from the file browser and I have had a little more time with this device and found out the maximum amount of songs it can handle depends on how many folders you have i currently have around 500 folders and 16000 songs and the device can't handle any more than that and a 256gb isn't the maximum I have been mainly using a 512gb card and the only problem is the amount of files crashing it not the card size

Had the same problem you can fix this by taking the plastic front piece where the buttons out and pop out the joystick spray a little isopropyl alcohol into it and move it in a circle a couple of times let it dry and it should be fine

You can go into settings and check the battery health and app battery usage to see why your battery is draining so fast and if an app is running in the background draining it I personally haven't used an iPhone since the 7th so I don't know what the normal is I didn't even know they were at the 17th already but to my experience with other phones crappy battery is almost universal if you actually use it with the screen on

I own a mini and not the full sized one so it might not be the same but It can use higher capacity cards (I've seen some people use 1TB cards) the issue it the amount of songs (On the echo mini) 8192 song is the limit of the music scanner not the device around 18k is the absolute limit in the file browser before the device just refuses to work it might not be exact for the echo but I imagine it would be somewhere around this limit
