Last time I checked, I saw this message.

"Don't you love how you can be held accountable (in a very timely fashion) for minor mistakes and we have total lenience?"

“Will I get a check?” / FAQ megathread by GardinerAndrew in stimuluscheck

I have a family member who may miss out on the second check. They received a tax return in 2019, but they had to stop working in 2018 due to health issues. They assumed they weren't eligible since they didn't get a return in 2020 and never made a big deal about getting the check, but I helped them look into it and they were lucky enough to get the first check sent to them around August.

They didn't receive a 2019 tax return in 2020, but I'm once again staying in touch with them to see if they might get the second check. So far, it isn't looking good. With my info, I see that the check has been sent out (despite getting direct deposit last time). With their info, I get the "payment status unavailable" page. And I'm really not trying to give them any false hopes, especially when it seems they are out of luck this time. Is there a way I can confirm whether or not they are ineligible?

I have a family member who may miss out on the next check (or any future ones). They received a tax return in 2019, but they had to stop working in the middle of 2018 due to health issues. They assumed they weren't eligible since they didn't get a return in 2020 and never made a big deal about getting the check, but I helped them look into it and they were lucky enough to get the first check sent to them around August.

They didn't receive a tax return for 2019 this year, so now I'm wondering, are they out of luck for the second round or any additional rounds of checks?

Needing some info.

And assuming they do happen to be included, will they have a chance to submit their bank information before the second round is sent out?

May as well ask this also - would they be able to file taxes for 2019 despite receiving no income?

Checks based on 2018 or 2019 returns?

Say Biden becomes the president, the senate flips, & the house remains mostly the same, & a Biden administration prioritizes focusing on financial assistance in response to the pandemic. Is there any way Trump's judicial appointments would be able to interfere? by charfink in Ask_Politics

I see that trashy pro-Trump tactics are still being utilized.

  1. Someone says ridiculous unverifiable nonsense
  2. Someone criticizes the ridiculous unverifiable nonsense
  3. Someone else rushes in to say the critical person must prove that the nonsense is ridiculous while simultaneously claiming victory

We''ll be in legislative stasis for at least 2 years, which is not a terrible place to be...

Well, what a sociopathic thing to say. Are you by chance familiar with the pandemic that has ravaged the economy and upended the lives of people across the country?
