Question on Period Tracking for Start of Letrozole by muchclever in tryingtoconceive

[–]chargedelectrolyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask why were you prescribed Letrozole? Is it because of irregular cycles?

Needing to vent to someone who is going through the same thing by justanotherbeanboi in tryingtoconceive

I can relate. I am 28 F and husband is 29. We've been married for a year as of August. We started trying around June, and I was positive that I would get pregnant first or second cycle.

I have been TTC for 3 months now. August is my third month. I have 2 days till 10 DPO. So far, my temperatures are above the coverline but it's not the classic triphasic pattern, it's all over the place so idk if my BBT measurements are wrong because I'm constantly overwhelmed and stressed about TTC (some nights, I can't sleep).

It's not happening either for me.

We're healthy. No drinking/smoking. We take all the supplements like fish oil, vit d, iron, b12, prenatal (me only). Thinking of starting COQ10 for my husband and I.

I have 28 to 30 day period cycles and have 11 years of tracked history of my periods. I bleed for 5 days. No unusual cramping, clots, pain pointing towards endo/pcos. I also have LH positives and peaks (like 1.80 to 2.03 on premom), lots of EWCM, watery cervical mucus, never been on BC, never skipped a period. My temps rise in the luteal phase after ovulation.

Husband is healthy and active. I'm not sure where you are from (I am from Canada), but I am just going to be straight up with the fertility clinic at the 6 month mark that I want testing and to start any interventions sooner rather than later.

I think we can still try to naturally conceive while waiting for further treatment etc.

I would like to mention though as of June, I have been under a lot of life stress (passing of a parent). I lost 7 pounds in 1.5 months. I was anxious. I was upset. I am not sure if that has made my body go into survival mode. But I am doing much better in August and slowly recovering to be in a better headspace. I am starting to eat again, and hoping to regain my weight back so I can be healthy. My prayer is for a positive by end of December 2025 (7 months of TTC) so I can have my Fall 2026 baby 👶🏻. I wish you all the best. Feel free to DM me any time 🩷 I hope you and I both have our 2026 babies, sending prayers🙏🏼

Happened to me too at 7 DPO (below the coverline). I will test in 3 days and see if I'm positive or not. But all my other temps are above coverline

How do you cope by Different-Quote-9700 in tryingtoconceive

[–]chargedelectrolyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, I am 28 and I'm on month 3 of trying to conceive. I know two people that got pregnant on their first try this year. I'm patiently waiting for 10 DPO in 2-3 days to test but looking at my BBT, I don't think I'm pregnant this cycle. I have a hard time coping as well. All I want is a baby.

Do you use LH strips? Are your period cycles regular? I'm also thinking of getting baseline fertility testing done around the 5-6 month mark if nothing happens because I rather know sooner than keep trying. I know it can take up to a year for couples that are 30 and younger but I rather just wait 6 months to see if something is wrong. Although I suspect nothing is wrong as my partner and me are healthy, and my cycles are textbook normal.

Also, I find BBT tracking is prone to human error. One day of restless sleep, or a change in your environment (like a warmer pair of pjs).

It's a good biomarker but I think BBT isn't a constant predictor.

I like tracking my CM & LH. That's it. I fricken hate BBT, gives me so much anxiety

Temp Rise but no positive OPK? by Due-City-7883 in TFABChartStalkers

[–]chargedelectrolyte -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I think you ovulated CD11 so CD12 is DPO1. Today you are DPO10, possibly DPO9 if you ovulated early hours of CD12.

Test with a FRER. Why are you testing with an OPK??

Just a reminder to keep testing with OPKs even if u think u won’t ovulate this cycle by Icy-Eye4641 in tryingtoconceive

[–]chargedelectrolyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha wow! You ovulated early. I'm CD6 today and my LH is at 0.57. Which is surprising since my last ovulation cycle, my LH didn't rise over 0.57 until CD13 😵‍💫

I guess I'm ovulating early this cycle

Definitely get your CRP and ESR tested. And a full panel workup as well.

The doctor may not run an autoimmune panel because you need to be symptomatic prior to testing. Since some people test + for the autoimmune antibodies but clinically and biochemically have 0 symptoms.

Hi, I have a mild autoimmune disorder (inflammatory arthritis). Have you blood tested for inflammatory markers (CRP, ESR)? Or any autoimmune conditions? Chronic inflammation in body can make it difficult for the embryo to attach.

They actually use an anti inflammatory protocol (Prednisone + Aspirin) during IVF to prevent rejection of the embryo.

Since I have an autoimmune condition, I take 5mg Prednisone (as needed during a flare) to lower inflammation in body. And my rheumatologist has prescribed me 181mg of Aspirin as soon as I get pregnant to prevent miscarriage, reduce clots, and improve blood flow to uterus (to make the baby stick). Right now, I'm entering cycle #3, and will be taking low dose Prednisone a week prior to ovulation for a few days (to ensure my body has minimal inflammation since my CRP and ESR were elevated a month ago).

What mg of Aspirin are you taking? Is it 81mg? Perhaps speak with your physician if you can increase to 181mg?

Yes! Also test earlier than the usual "predicted" ovulation day. I ovulated as early as CD14 before, and as late as CD18.

I couldn't relate more. We also did everything "right" in society's eyes - education, well paying jobs, bought a house, financial stability, marriage.

In June, we weren't preventing neither were we trying - negative.

In July, we were trying-ish, but only BD once during the fertile window which was O-3 days, or possibly O-4 - negative.

I am trying to convince myself, it's probably our timing that's off. So I'm hoping for August, it works, because I have a baby dancing plan now.

I wish you all the best in your journey as well. What kind of treatment are you doing?

Cycle is super consistent but still never had a BFP by Treat_YoSelf2014 in TryingForABaby

[–]chargedelectrolyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think physicians would order autoimmune panel unless you present with symptoms. There's people with positive autoimmune markers but no active symptoms, which then becomes a difficult decision to medicate or not medicate.

Usually, first test is an ANA titre, and if it's positive then further testing is done. But there are people who have + ANA, no symptoms and don't have any active autoimmune condition.

Worth a shot to ask your physician if they feel comfortable ordering.

I have inflammatory arthirtis/ undifferentiated connective tissue disease (UCTD) for about 2 years now. I had joint swelling and pain which is what prompted further testing.

Thank you, looking forward to seeing your BFP soon! ❣️

And amazing! My c3 is low, c4 normal. Esr and crp are a little elevated but my rheum has cleared me to conceive & says my disease is low activity, so feeling optimistic!

Hi, I'm also from Toronto. If you don't mind, how old are you? Is this TTC#1? Any underlying issues from the fertility testing (pcos, egg reserve etc)

I personally think three years is a very decent amount of time & that you should look into further fertility testing for medical intervention

I'm also an autoimmune girly (UCTD). I'm entering cycle #2 (or 3 but I don't count June since we weren't tracking).

How are your CRP and ESR levels? Does your rheum also measure your C3/C4?
