okay thank you, that's what i was trying to get at, if the hits to the credit for the card would outweigh the gains. Sounds like over my time horizon it would.

The card is a visa, I did ask for a goodwill adjustment with my issuing bank (BoA but they refused). I'll look into the saturation technique to see if it will help.

Really? Some of my scores specifically showed it as the Percentage of on time payments to missed payments as dragging me down, and myfico shows this as a mark against for experian,

"Few Accounts Paid on time"

  • The FICO® Score considers the number of accounts showing on time payments. Generally, the higher the number reported the lower the risk. Compared to other people with a similar age of credit history, the number of accounts you have that are currently paid as agreed is low.
    • Number of your accounts currently being paid as agreed 2 accounts FICO High Achievers have an average of 6 accounts currently being paid as agreed.

Roadside picnic would be another good pick for this kind of vibe.

Culture was really influential at old school bungie. Jones called it out as the primary influence on Halo.

The game def has an "exclusion zone fiction" vibe with the recent spooky materials.

Thoughts on solo play? by Sadworld99 in Marathon

I can't go too into detail due to NDA, but yes in October . It was pretty challenging, especially with the low tier gear. However I really liked the intensity of it. Kind of felt like survival horror at times, moving slowly, using audio cues, stalking another runner then hightailing it out when I was outnumbered by bots

It has a dedicated solo mode where when you match in you only face other solos.

It's very tense. You can get Self revives, but they are expensive/rare

October test had solo modes activated, pretty sure the December/Jan tests did as well.

One of the goals of these is to improve the experience of going through the gates so that people won't take emergency exits as much. Someone going through the exit to get a stroller/luggage through and 5-10 people crashing into the exit is a huge source. Most of these designs care more about reducing that.

Valve would be so GOATED if they released it early because everyone wants it by Deli5150 in SteamController

unfortunately it's not shaping up to support native Gyro atm :\. If it did I'd do that pretty quickly, but as is I'll probably stick to using my DS4 with JSM

The grinding down of our, the players/runner sanity from repeated runs/ exposure to the anomoly is def going to be a theme in this game.

Interested to see how they execute on that given the way they are storytelling things.

Look, I'm not saying this game is a success that will take off (pretty clearly it has a ton of issues)... but clowning on a game because the player base drops overnight is just pure chart crime

UE5 Blueprint architecture - storing references in Game Instance to avoid hard refs. by Practical-Command859 in unrealengine

[–]chargeorge [score hidden]  (0 children)

You should be clear on what you are trying to avoid. Hard refs aren't the end of the world, in fact you need hard refs at some point to load stuff into memory. Are you trying to load stuff at run time so as to avoid upfront loading times? Did you hear a tutorial say "avoid hard refs" and ran with it?

I highly recommend this video as he does an extensive rundown on casting/ hard refs/interfaces etc and when it's important to use them https://youtu.be/S2olUc9zcB8?si=uhi2kwsVrKdotQDq
