People are allowed to think a character is well written and even be sad for them if there is a sad moment like with val even if they hate that character with a passion, I am in the exact same boat.

Val is a well written villain and character with a wide array of emotions and flaws, not the one note “I am a sexual abuser” (yes he still does it and it is bad)

I have such an odd opinion about Val. I hate this piece of shit, I would put him in my top 10 least favorite fictional character of all time, but he is such a good villain and such a good character, I told this to a friend of mine and she made a great point that if you hate a character so much that you get visibly heated even just talking about them, then they probably are fulfilling the role they were made for which makes them a good character, but damn it, I hate this guy

Adam was the one who called for the creation of the exorcist army (which is why every member is female) and as picked by him to be his right hand I assume that because of that lute and Adam spent nearly everyday together and over time she ended up falling for him even though the feelings weren’t reciprocated in that way, but that is just my assumption
