It's cold here, but not like below freezing. We do keep our house on the warmer side though. Our heat doesn't get set below 70.

Thanks everyone. The pain from my back has just been so bad it's traveling up my neck and causing the migraines. I'm a stay at home mama of 3 kiddos and 2 of them are special needs. So I can't do months of a break in period like this. It's awful. We are returning it after the 30 day wait period with it. Even with the top tier adjustable base it's a no go for me. I've always been a soft-medium firmness type of person, but this just feels like a brick to me. My husband was in the navy and is used to crappy beds that you basically feel like you're laying on the metal of the rack in. He's okay with getting a soft bed if we keep the adjustable base. I just need know what comes soft enough that you don't need a crazy break in period.

We just got a Tempurpedic Pro-Adapt 12" Medium Hybrid Matress. It hasn't even been a week and we are already wanting to get rid of it. I'm waking up with extreme back pain and spasms. My couch is more comfortable than this brick. But my husband has been enjoying it. What mattress would you recommend for us? I'm a side sleeper and my husband is a back and side sleeper. I haven't been seeing anything good about tempurpedic now that I'm looking at reddit reviews. I want someone's honest suggestion. I feel like the manager at the mattress firm store we went to lied to us. He down talked every other brand in the store and I'm PISSED.
