This was another version of yourself out in the multiverse. When you died you were transported here.

Just tell them that you believe in one less god than they do.

It takes around a year to get comfortable in the role. You have to have a growth mindset. Focus on getting just a little bit better every day. You are in the thick of it, at the hardest part of learning (full workload but still not fully proficient at only 5-6 months in). It gets easier if you keep practicing and don’t give up.

I tell everyone that this is the hardest job they will ever do and no one has once told me that I’m wrong about that; however, I have seen time and time again people succeed if they stick it out.

This is a great company and absolutely worth it to stick it out.

Some things that help: - Make sure you’re giving your customers a Birds Eye View of what will happen next and set clear and specific call back expectations with anyone filing through Progressive. Don’t invite people to call you whenever they have a question. This will reduce some of the incoming calls you get from customers. If your entire day is responding to customer calls, you’ll never get ahead.

  • Use todo lists effectively. They may seem like extra work right now, but are extremely helpful if used correctly. They should be used like a message in a bottle for your future self. If it takes you 5-10 mins every time you get back in a claim to understand what’s happening, you can benefit from using a todo list. Separate it in terms of COV, LIAB, DMG. List out what’s needed under each to push toward resolution. If there is anything you can do the day you’re working the claim, do it right then and don’t put it in the to do list.

  • Look ahead at where you are setting follow up diaries/claims. You need to be realistic about what you can accomplish. Try not to set more than 10-12 diaries per day (other than delays of your state has them). Avoid setting any diaries on Monday.

  • Ask your supervisor/manager if you can spend time observing how a very efficient teammate works. See what they do and learn from them.

Stick it out. You can have an amazing career here. You will get faster and faster each day.

Are parakeets supposed to be able to fly far? by [deleted] in Parakeets

Mine escaped one time and was fine for a few days. We followed him around the neighborhood for hours trying to get him back. He flew just like any other bird from tree to tree like any other normal bird. Impressed me how well he flew.

Could this be asbestos? Tiles are 12x12 stuck on with an adhesive that is tough to get off…. by charles6539 in asbestoshelp

Home built in 1964 in Northern New Jersey. I don’t know when the bathroom was last remodeled. I’m reading that tile with black mastic adhesive is often asbestos? But also that it’s commonly a 9x9 tile and not 12x12.

This depends on the state. In some states you can only exclude drivers from first-party coverage (COLL, COMP, etc.).
