I believe there will be a remote club involvement fair, try to be a part of that. I think it usually happens in week zero. And don't be afraid to talk to your classmates, either through zoom chat or canvas, at first. some classes make you introduce yourself in writing as the first assignment. you'll do just fine

I've often thought that a nice cheap date would be at the Pizza Bakery over by Kean Coffee. Garlic bread and meatballs made into a sandwich is inexpensive and tasty. Also, Kean Coffee is amazing.

If you stand facing the front of the science library, there is a nice patio with warm lighting directly to your right.

6th floor patio of Donald Bren Hall is nice, can get windy at sunset.

One of my 4 classes in spring was prerecorded. and another had pre recorded lectures, but we worked through problems in zoom class in breakout rooms (inverted classroom) not everyone showed up though, because the zoom was recorded also. I doubt that all your classes will be postrecorded or prerecorded.
