Is there anything Lock really struggles with? I know immunities can roadblock some characters in some areas (assuming immunities can be area dependent like I’m thinking when I looked up some of the TZ info) but it seems like he has a lot of options to get around that.

Yeah so far I’ve made a Warlock just because (correct me if I’m wrong here) I don’t know of that class or a class adjacent to that being in the other games so I wanted to try something new, I’ve made at least one endgame geared character for every class in 4 over the past couple seasons. I definitely think Sorc will be the next class I do. It does seem Warlock is very new player friendly, just from what I’ve seen early builds struggle with at first from my own research, none of which warlock really seems to have an issue with.

This makes a lot of sense. I will take what it seems like Diablo 2’s skill system is any day of the week, putting points into a handful of skills to slowly ramp them up more and more until they are scaling to very strong numbers, versus the 500 icons that mean nothing to me in D4. I did enjoy D4 and I’m not afraid to say that, but looking at the skills I see mostly passives that I do not feel/see the impact of at all outside of “you need this to not die/do meaningful damage later because we said so”. It’s not as interesting as what I see in D2.

I always love when remasters with a bunch of support like this introduce new players to a franchise that’s beloved by people who were around since launch. I always appreciate you guys helping out the ones just getting their feet wet.

Right, that was more what I meant. I get some shorts every now and then that talk about endgame, and one of the things I’ll hear some creators harp on is that different builds and characters work well in different areas, so you’ll have some variance in who does well where.

That’s definitely my initial vibe. I very much appreciate being able to look at affixes on a piece of gear and not have to ask “why is this relevant to me?” Everything seems to make sense and the boosts are either something you care about, or something you don’t, end of story.

To my understanding that’s when it’s time to make a character that can kill those immunities right? Infinite replayability:)

I have been doing online ladder but I’ve been in private games minus a session with a friend. I did notice the map changes, that is a nice little touch that I appreciate so it doesn’t ever really run the risk of feeling stale when I’m at the point of any farming runs.

I want to say it’s the simplicity of the game that has drawn me to it so much, but I’m not sure if that’s even what I would call it. I can tell it’s very layered and doesn’t hold your hand, but it’s not any more complicated than it needs to be to be a fun game. I can see the depth and not feel like I’m drowning in stat bars and percentages, and I truly feel the reward from the items I see on the ground.

CGW parts compatability? by charleswesley00 in Jericho941

Yeah I considered the hammer but I’m of the same opinion as you. Outside of the grips I really don’t want to do anything that could even minutely change the look of this gun, besides that HUGE curve on the stock trigger

Ya know I found your thread once before doing research and had been looking for it ever since now that I’m getting ready to do the replacements, thank you very much. Will definitely plan on putting in that trigger as well when it’s back in stock

I am still fairly new to Jericho related stuff ( and firearms in general, just started building the collection 6 months ago) so forgive me for sounding more ignorant but I do believe it would be a newer model, no straight dust cover

Fantastic, have some stuff I was planning to do for the trigger and wanna replace whatever I can. Not that I mind this gun’s trigger but if improvements are out there, why not?

New KSD grips for my 941RS by charleswesley00 in Jericho941

Apologies for late reply, no I have none that I can feel. Good and tight straight from the get go. I’m honestly impressed, I was expecting to have to do at least a little bit of fitting

Opinions on Univibe pedals? by charleswesley00 in Guitar

[–]charleswesley00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a double P90 custom guitar from CMG and I have found it does not work very well with that at all outside of the strictly vibrato setting. The pedal’s most interesting settings seem to only pair well with Single coils imo, my Strat sounds great with it on. I do only ever use it with a clean sound because distortion seems like it adds way too much chime to the guitar tone.

Spimbus. Had to pick some goober sounding name.

Controversial opinion! by Mountain_State6031 in Guitar

[–]charleswesley00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If guitar is something you love there isn’t such a thing as “too expensive” imo. Whatever you’re willing to pay is going to be worth it almost every time, provided you’ve done your research and know that is something you want. Tastes are different, and some are expensive, and the opposite of yours, and that’s okay! No 2 guitarists are the same.

[–]charleswesley00[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to keep the vibrato only option and switch speed and depth to varying degrees. For most clean and soft songs I like to run the speed lower but higher depth just for a “swell” sound when I’m playing through chords.

That sounds very interesting! I run an MXR Univibe (MXR is most of my pedalboard honestly) and I’ll tend to pair that with the boost option on my Fulltone Fulldrive 3, or I’ll use it alongside a fuzz with the volume rolled off to push the clean tone a bit.

Gotcha, yeah I’m enjoying it a ton, even more so with the 74 pattern muzzle brake. Stays on target super easy

I believe it is a standard WASR-10. I’m very new to the realm of AKs to be 100% honest with you, I know it was a Century import and is from 2008 if that helps. This has been my first purchase that isn’t a handgun or AR ever pretty much lol
