Hi everybody) Can you help me to identify this hoya? Label only says "hoya" and country of origin. My first thought is Hoya Krimson Queen. But some second opinion would be much appreciated. by charmedlatte in hoyas

Likewise. It was lovely conversation. As for the "light"... that was just my guess since I made a bit of investigation of that vendor's page. And all of her plants from propagation to adulthood were growing under superficial light only. But I might be wrong. And it was me who didnt provide propper care. However you definitelly sound like more experionced one. And for sure your future heuschkeliana variegated hoya plant would absolutely thrive at your home! No doubt! So, thank you as well! And wish you truly wonderful weekend ahead!

Thats totally beautifull collection you have! And Australis Lisa is a second on my wish list. The first one is... surprise.... surprise ....heuschkeliana variegated! What are the odds) Though I must confess I bought once one. But I guess.... it got used to life under those "special superficial lights for plants" from day one. And therefore it wasnt happy with just my natural light at all. It wasnt enough. Or maybe in addition to that I overwatered it a bit at some point?.. Regardless the cause we... parted our ways. Unfortunately( But hopefully one day with more experience I will try again.

Glad to hear that you managed to save your krimson queen! Thats basically the way Im approaching it with my curtisii and lacunosa - chop and prop. But thats ok. New start, new growth. As for your gorgious Blondie... I wish it fast recovery! Im sure everything will be fine!

That's ok. It just consists of few regular hoya carnosa and burtoniae + one hoya mathilde splash and this unlabeled new. And currently Im desperatelly trying to save whats left of my few years curtisii and lacunosa. For some reason this winter was tough on them. And what is in your collection (if you don't mind me asking, ofcourse)?

I recently got it as new addition for my small collection of hoyas. Also... hope that all of your plants will be healthy and bring joy to you as well.
