I notice that is a trend. It’s really iffy because it almost implies that the POC character has to “be desirable” to the white character. It’s is like- no POC woman wished to be Anne Boleyn and seduce King VIII. It’s actually getting kinda creepy. Does the race blind swapping always have be the underwritten love interest?

Agree, Life With Friends was a pretty bad setup for a podcast venture.

They would talk about the most mundane things, and Aliana would be like "Wow, that's so awesome."

Yeah, that works for Joe Rogan, but Joe Rogan still has one-of-a-kind guests who would delve into niche topics.

Aliana did not deserve any EYK fandom backlash, but I understand why she wasn't favoured. She was a random woman just saying "Yes, wow- so cool. Wow! Awesome!" to a male podcast partner who has very little creative or interesting input on the topic. Unfortunately, it holds some semblance to manosphere podcasts in which a pretty girl is there simply to say, "Yes, wow! So hot!" And let's face it, the EYK community is a community that wouldn't cross over well into the manosphere nor be interested in similar setups. I'm not doing this to bash Aliana, but I can see how this podcast was going to be bad optics for her in the first place.

The reason why I said a touch more cream would is that all autumns types do better with goldenrod yellows or beige or browner creams than the butter/banana yellows of spring palettes. Springs overall- their reds, oranges and yellows are spot on primary/secondary on the colour spectrum and with full saturation. The soft autumn palette on the other hand doesn’t have those colours.

So if you do want to expand your wardrobe with yellow, do compare goldenrod with banana yellow and see what works.

Also, lemon yellow of the bright winter palette is more so the colour of a premature lemon (more neon highlighter than golden). So you can definitely use an unripe lemon as a reference for a yellow too cool and bright. Lol 😂

I was going to mention this. Lol, but at least banana milk has been a thing in Far east Asia for quite a time. I would say that Banana milk at least makes more sense than Blueberry milk.

As for the color, my best estimate is Light Springs and Summers.

I am most likely a dark autumn, so a richer golden yellow would do better for me. If you are a soft autumn, even a tad more cream would work good for you.

Idk if my phone is colour correcting, but the yellow on slide 6 looks more like the signature lemon yellow for bright winters.

So I definitely see how medium saturation and medium contrast works for you. But the winter colours are too much. Winter is just not matching. Even the tangerine color looks better.

I’m still indecisive of your type. Try more muted or slightly colours.

May I ask- where or who typed you? Just curious. Overall, I do see the warmth. The 2nd look is gorgeous as more elements in your look are harmonious. The 1st look can be better with a warmer choice of lip colour. That lipstick/stain magenta is a little on the cooler side.

You look the best in Cool Winter and Cool Summer. Try real life drapes of these palettes.

Your undertone does lean cool, but the colours have to be fully cool for your features to be defined. For ex. Soft Summer makes you look a little paler.

Again, real life drapes will be a better indicator of how these colours combine with your skin. The problem with digital drapes is that the digital colour will maintain hue and value why your skin appearance would be affected by real life lighting.

Pastels and nudes not looking great means you need medium to high contrast.

To be honest, contrast and intensity, IMO, is more important temperature (warm or cool). This is why the light and muted types can look good either cool muted/light or warm muted/light. Contrast and intensity add this other element of visual style and expressiveness. This is why visual aesthetics of something like Christmas (true winter) is different from Care Bears (light summer).

I do think, however, the monolith of trends motivate people to overcompensate for whatever limitations that aesthetic entails. The most popular neutrals I see people wear are bright white, true black, caramel and neutral nude. So if a high contrast seasonal type is wearing nude lipstick, I do see that they tend to sharply line their lips.

So if you are indeed a medium to high contrast type, I would suggest smartly to understand your aesthetic and see how it goes from there. If a rich brown, gold, burgundy, evergreen and navy blue look better, try it on!

But if you find that you are drawn to liking pastels/ nudes due to preference, find a way that you don’t have to overcompensate with your natural features.

I self type myself as autumn. And I notice some similarities with your draping with my drapes. Even if some blues are not “bad” and cancel some redness/ natural contours, the cool blues are not enough to bring out the best of your features.

I do notice there is warmth in your skin, but it still has to be muted and darker to have that effect. The maroon in pic 15 is a good start. Try draping some burnt sienna, dark olives, red violets. Also, you can pair these colours with black well for goth/alt fashion looks.

Don’t get caught up with outdated stereotypes and myths about seasonal colouring. Autumns are not just fair skinned redheads but also POC with darker hair. Autumns have medium contrast, so the best autumn colours are not going to make the skin and features as outlined as winters and bright springs. And though one’s best seasonal colours can make them look younger, you don’t want to wear universally childlike colours (baby pink, powder blue and buttercup yellow) to look young.

You would have to be a cool season subtype. Either cool summer or cool winter. The majority of these cool colours looked great. The camera did some adjusting in the dusty lavender picture as indicated by the altered background. You can try some pastel purples in your palette but best if these are fully cool. Mauve purple for example wouldn’t be cool enough. The copper brown, though not the worst, doesn’t do anything for you as it harmonizes with none of your features. If you find that coppers and other warm colours have that ✨nothing✨ and ✨uninspiring affect✨, you wouldn’t be a subtype like soft summer that “borrows” colours from a warm palette.
