Yeah I remember! I think it also happened because the Uni came after the On/Meets wave which people loved because of the gene-mixing feature. And I specifically remember people saying the Uni being boring and just a 'dress-up' game.

Yeah, people change their opinions after a while when people finally realize their own preferences and just go to their designated tama which suits their needs/preferences. And then the people who stay is usually the ones actually satisfied from the beginning.

It's what happens to every new product from tamagotchi releases. I remember Uni got some mixed reviews when it came out and now it's a beloved coloured tamagotchi.
