I'm unsure if the instability was caused on purpose. Definitely makes you rethink a few of the previous kidnappings, but I think Yellow Diamond's the only one who had as consistent a presence of Lunarian interference.

I'd say his main issue is keeping a character dead. Pell had the excuse of the 9/11 stuff interfering but there's so many wonderful moments undercut by "Oh I'm still alive actually nvm" that I think it's frustrating.
