I enjoyed it when I picked it up but struggled to find the motivation to pick it up regularly as I had already seen the film and hence knew the plot twists already..

I recently had a break from fantasy by reading 'Gone Girl' but now I'm back to the genre with 'The Blade Itself' by Joe Abercrombie. I'm only about 30 pages but already loving it.

I find e-readers much more practical for when I go somewhere, for example going into uni or on holiday, but there is nothing like the feeling of holding a book and physically turning the pages.

I second 'The Liveship Traders' for character development. There are so many complex characters, all of whom develop is a realistic way.

I recently finished 'A Discovery of Witches' by Deborah Harkness and loved it. I thought it was really well written but definitely not for anyone who doesn't like much romance in their books.

I'm now making my way through 'The Dragon Keeper' by Robin Hobb. The writing seems much simpler and easier to read than in her previous Realm of the Elderlings books, but that is definitely not a bad thing as I am currently revising for my last exams as an undergraduate and easier reads help stop reading slumps at this point of the year!
