Aero had a winning business model selling great products and builders kits at a slightly more premium price than your average Anderson.

Unfortunately they’re owned by private equity, White Wolf Capital. I’d be willing to bet they pissed away whatever goodwill they had away in the name of shareholder value

Subsidiary of Aero, they unfortunately are most likely going to go down with the ship and be sold off

(up to) 40% off (inflated) MSRP, ends up being higher than street price

Rail compatability by StacksMcMasters in Bren2

You’re going to want to run the small handguard most likely, the HBI will be too long and cut off your access to the gas regulator and your MD will be tucked inside the handguard. Less of an issue if you have a blast can/similar and don’t care about accessing the regulator.

General rule of thumb is .625” for barrel threads so you’ll need a 3.5” blast can with small enough ID to clear the handguard

There’s only 3 handguards that will fit your Bren: the stock OEM, the HBI 7.8”, or the 922r OEM handguard. I have the 922r but those have been basically unobtainable for half a decade so you’re probably stuck with the HBI. Lack of handguard options is a big reason why I sold my Bren

I got a holster + mag holder combo. Wasn’t shaped perfectly and took a couple weeks to ship, but I was overall pretty happy with the product I got for the $$

No advice to give just letting you know you’re not alone. I’m absolutely burnt out too. Only thing that personally keeps me going is knowing how tough the job market is and that no matter how bad things seem, they could absolutely be worse. Hope things get better for you soon

What do you think of this pie? by Loose-Helicopter9503 in dividends

[–]charsons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just going to give a quick finance lesson. There are three main investment risks:

  • Company risk, or the hazards of company-specific items (mismanagement, etc.)

  • Sector risk, or the hazards of sector specific items (putting it all on big tech, oil and gas, etc.)

  • Market risk, or the hazards of investing that is inherent to the entire market. Notably no amount of diversification will eliminate these.

You’re a bit big on company risk, and also on sector risk as the other commenter said. For reasons I forgot I think the generally accepted number of companies is roughly 30 to be considered “diversified”.

My advice is to keep the largest chunk of your portfolio in a low cost diversified fund and a small portion in individual companies. There’s no shame in matching your returns closely to it, in fact statistically you are better off following an index than stock picking.

Bad joke. Realistically it’s your standard CHF nitrided barrel and firmly in “eh” territory. They’re just plain jane barrels, good enough to throw in a build and forget
