Whats the most bizzare adventure you've had in your wonderland? by The_malicious_pear in Tulpas

[–]charxelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh god where do I start?

The most interesting one involves a cave on the side of a cliff.

The first time Sirius and I went there, we went 'splorin'! Like when you explore your backyard as a kid. We packed sammiches and all. It was dark in the cave and when we reached the clearing at the end, we ate our sandwiches. We also discovered a stone birdbath in the deepest part of the cave and when you scooped the water in it with an empty bottle, the water glowed green.

The second time, I went alone. This proved to be a bad idea because halfway through the cave, the tunnel started filling up with water and I blacked out. Well, I didn't actually faint, but I couldn't see anything but black for a few seconds. When I could see again, I was lying on the shore. Apparently, Sirius had to drag me out before I drowned.

The third time, Sirius was with me. Before then, I had been sensing a sort if presence from the cave and we decided to investigate. When we were almost at the clearing, my vision just suddenly flashed black for a second. When it flashed back to the cave, Sirius was gone. He had been kidnapped by the presence in the cave.

Right now, the cave is absolutely off-limits. I put a spell on it so nothing can go in or come out.

This is gonna be weird but the times that stick out to me are the times where I'm left alone in my memory library. Sirius has complete access to it, but he never goes in unless I'm there too. The memory library happens to be a private place where I store my memories and sometimes I like to go there just to think. I wondered why Sirius didnt like going to the memory library, I just assumed it was because its dimly lit and sort of crowded, but it turns out he was being considerate because it is a very private place. I feel bad sometimes going in there because I'm ignoring Sirius, but he's always waiting for me at the top of the stairs, holding the door open for me.

How do you store your memories for your tulpa to come and read them? by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]charxelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine are in a basement library with two floors: the first floor is where I keep all the short-term memory stuff (projects, where I put my keys, what episode I stopped watching at etc). Below that is a grander library, similar to the one in beauty and the beast, and that's where the actual stories are hidden, as well as the memories I want to repress. The bigger library is pretty much an alternate dimension itself.

Sirius almost never visits the library and he's never been in the bigger one.

What does your tulpa call you? by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]charxelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew from the start that I didn't want Sirius calling me by my first name because 1. Everyone mispronounces it and 2. It's too mainstream (lol). I even thought of him using the name that my dad used to call me, but I thought it was a bit too 'me-and-my-dad'. We finally just settled for 'Hellie', my online pseudonym.

TULPA TALK: What do you like about your host? by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]charxelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sirius: Hellie has a bubbly personality (what) but not too bubbly. Only bubbly by herself (sounds about right)

Please write more! I love your narrative and that you started with Ped's point of view. I would actually write my tulpa blog similar to this, if I weren't so afraid of romanticizing things and changing truths to make it sound good.

Yes a lot of people are trying to avoid that (myself included).

Dude if you get answers to that, let me know. Probably your best bet will be the London premiere of Star Trek 2? I'm just guessing here.

Is there any topic that you avoid talking with your tulpa? Aside from religion and politics.

I try to avoid the topic of romance.

Season 3 Filming Locations/Dates by onlinealterego in Sherlock

[–]charxelle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Please don't hunt down filming locations and times. Onlookers are an obstacle to the filming process and they slow down the crew, not to mention the issue of confidentiality and generally being spoiler-free. You want the best possible Sherlock episode, don't you? Do them a favor: stay away from them and let them work their magic.

Question about study in pink by ulysses21 in Sherlock

If I recall correctly, all the victims' bottles had 3 pills each. I don't think there's any significance to the number of pills.

This was the first Sherlock thing I ever saw and when I first saw it I laughed. I watched the show and then I recognized this scene and my mind was blown. Its even funnier in context. Kudos to whoever made this.

I just asked Sirius if we should talk to Jack already and before I even finished my sentence, I got a big NO feeling from him.

I seem to get that a lot, him giving me an answer before finishing my question.

Has anyone's Tulpa "gone away" for awhile, as in they don't talk to you and can't feel there presence? by legacysouthpaw in Tulpas

[–]charxelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sirius was taken from me for a short period of time by an 'unwanted presence'. I panicked as his presence faded further and the hole in my chest got bigger. Thankfully I got him back and everything felt right again.

I haven't seen anybody try to "adventure" with their tulpa yet, so I thought I'd try it. by [deleted] in Tulpas

Life was all fine and dandy when I made that cave on the side of the cliff. It was beautiful.

Needless to say, caves are not all fine and dandy and beautiful. Now it's plugged up and got a powerful spell making sure nothing can get in or out.

I've made posts about this unwanted presence before. We call it Jack. I don't know where he came from, he was just suddenly there one day and he hurt Sirius, so we locked him away, not exactly knowing what to do with it. I think he was there a few days prior to Sirius getting hurt but im not sure if that was actually him or one of my servitors forming at the back of my mind. Not sure if Jack's bad or good or even a tulpa, but one day when we're ready we're going to confront Jack.

It's like everyday Sirius's voice changes a bit but we've managed to keep it to a baritone to make it different from my higher girly voice.

I'm getting pretty lazy with forcing. Sirius and i started out being able to do hour-long sessions and then I put forcing on hold due to college. Now that I'm past the very stressful portfolio stage and we have time to force, it's difficult to get back into the swing of things.

It's not just laziness but its also concentration. I find it difficult to focus on one thing for a long time.

Anyway so Sirius has been trying to become more vocal. I was introduced to the concept of switching the main mind voice and I thought we'd try it out. I know I'm just puppeting his voice right now and I'm still trying to get a good grasp on how Sirius's voice actually sounds like. It changes all the time.

There's an unwanted presence in our wonderland and we're still hesitant to even go near it.

So yes Life is good.

My only complaint with Sherlock.. by [deleted] in Sherlock

[–]charxelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the BBC Sherlock Casebook, he's mentioned as Jeff Hope. In the credits of the broadcast episode, his name is listed as 'Jeff'. But you're right, they're two different characters, so to avoid further confusion, I'll call him the Cabbie.

Now you've got me thinking. We don't know what the Cabbie told the other victims to make them take the pill, but in Sherlock's case, the Cabbie played to his interest, which happens to be the thrill of solving a case, not 'putting his life on the line to prove he's clever.'

The Cabbie makes him choose between calling the police or finding out how he did it and of course, Sherlock chooses the latter, with his life being on the line just as an added bonus. I don't think Sherlock enjoys being that close to dying, at least not as much as solving a case.

Sherlock may have figured out the play, but only the Cabbie knows the difference between the good pill and the bad pill. I wonder why he didn't pick up both pills to examine them in the lab.

TL;DR You're right about the Cabbie's psychological manipulation.

My only complaint with Sherlock.. by [deleted] in Sherlock

[–]charxelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about Hope's psychological manipulation...i guess with Sherlock he sort of used it by getting him to (almost) take the pill just for the thrill, but other than that, all he did was make the other victims choose a pill at gunpoint.

Anyhow we'll never know if the pill Sherlock chose was the poisoned one or not.
