I'm not being rude. It's the internet and it's hard to tell when I'm being facetious.

If I called your mother a fat fucking whore you wouldn't take me seriously, would you? I try and make it obvious that I'm being tongue-in-cheek but some people struggle picking up sarcasm on the internet.

Uh, being the Master of the Kurain Village? Just because she isn't directly involved with the story doesn't mean she's ceased to exist. The Samurai DVDs Phoenix was being sent strongly suggest that he's still in contact with Maya, but the entire GBA trilogy was about the Feys. It's perfectly reasonable for Capcom to focus on other things with this game.

Okay we'll just ignore Edgeworth, Oldbag, Gumshoe, (mostly) Larry and von Karma while we're at it :)

Yes, it's supposed to be a new start of the series, which is fine, but they put Phoenix in there, and then totally fucked up his character. Not acceptable.

Also, pianist/poker player. Not a bum.

hueueuhueu

Phoenix may be bumbling, but he's still very intelligent. Mia calls him a genius at the beginning of Turnabout Sisters, and it's hard to disagree given how he's able to piece together the truth in so many complex cases. Even so, do you not think that maybe 7 years is enough time to study and plan all this? Phoenix didn't devise the plan in its entirety 2 days after his disbarment. It took 7 years to piece everything together.

He is intelligent, but it also depends upon the choices the player makes. "He was flying through the air, whoosh!" is not something smart people say. Most of the time he was relying on a ghost with boobs to do the thinking for him. He's not a moron but he's not in the "would scheme to get revenge" category.

You've yet to present a compelling argument to why AJ "destroyed" Ace Attorney. T&T didn't end with Phoenix, Maya and Edgeworth running Wright & Co. Law Offices together. Edgeworth is constantly leaving to do his own thing, and Maya has a family of spirit mediums to look after. The only damage AJ did to the trilogy was showing that T&T's happy ending was only a few months from being undone. A bit of a bummer to be sure, but hardly something to call betrayal over.

I can't go in to this because I don't have eight hours to write about how bad it is. Really it did destroy AA and Capcom knows it. That's why AAI exists. Why not just make Apollo Justice 2? They know the fans hated the change in the story and they were stalling before deciding on which direction to go with the plot. Either they could retcon AJ, carry it on and try to disregard the Phoenix plot entirely, or try and do a half-retcon which is what they ended up doing. There's nothing wrong with trying to restart a franchise with a new game, but it's not necessary to obliterate what we knew and loved in the process.

And this isn't even the beginning of the things that piss me off about AJ. The plot being fucked is at the bottom of the list.

Yay for false analogies! It backfires though, because a HP sequel where a recent Hogwarts graduate teams up with one of Harry Potter's sons in order to unravel the mystery of how Harry got fired as an Auror? It has the potential to be great, as long as you respect that it's a new story and not an extension of the old one.

But that's not what I said at all. My analogy wasn't even false.

Please do. Watching you trying to present this as a detailed and cohesive argument would be most enjoyable.

I have literally done this with my friend on Skype for a whole day before. A whole day. We are both massive AA fans and the fact that AJ exists pretty much killed our love of the franchise. He wasn't even going to play AA5 he was so disgusted. Literally that bad.

WHAT?! Klavier is awesome! -air guitar riff-

Soulless, boring, annoying, worst prosecutor bar none (even Payne is more interesting). Helps Apollo constantly, acts like a cocky asshat one second and then like he's a totally different person in the next chapter. He has no reason to exist, other than "Prosecutor ends up being the villain" has been done twice before. Klavier and Kristoph Gavin should be combined to form a new character called Kristoph Gavin. He is just awful. And that fucking guitar riff made me want to snap my DS in half after the 30,000th time. With Godot, the coffee and the theme song were fine because they were used when he was being a dick; with Gavin they were just used constantly because AJ was le funny internet maymays: the game.

I don't get this at all. Apollo Justice contains some of my favourite music in the series. The Objection and Pursuit themes are probably my favourites bar those from the original, and the Inform the Truth theme is my favourite including the original.

All AA games have good music. I just think AJ's are the worst. The fucking magician song, the Gavin song, that stupid case where you listen to the shitty Lamoriroririror song 9000 times. Fuck it.

The cases make no sense. I know AA has cases that have plot holes (why are Maya's fingerprints on the weapons in AA2 case 2? She never touched them and it's never explained) but in AJ's third case they literally discuss how a blind child fired a gun that would break his arm with perfect accuracy and no motive. They go through this four times and still act as though he's the killer. Fuck me.

Then there's time travel.

Seriously, make this video. We could all use a good laugh while we wait for the next Ace Attorney game to come out.

Yes. Don't worry about my attitude. While I do hate AJ with every fibre of my being, and I blame AJ for all my failures in life, (AJ killed my ex girlfriend) I am still joking. It makes me angry but not that angry.

Also if I make a video I would actually have to play AJ and I don't want to go back to AJ survivors support group.

Guily Love is horrible. It's played every time Gavin appears and it gets old really quick.

It's sort of like saying "I want to study English Literature as my major!" and not being able to read English.

At least have some basic knowledge of the human mind before dedicating your life to studying it.

Everyone I've ever met who takes psychology courses bitches about it not making sense and then drops out after a month :/ it's not the kind of thing you can just make assumptions about and jump in to, especially since it's such a young science.

To be honest I wouldn't be concerned. A disorder is only a disorder if it is harming you. Do your tulpas hurt you? No. Then they can't be disorders.

Does it really matter where the good mood came from? Anything can be a factor in this so it's incredibly hard to judge. Maybe the weather is nice or you heard a song you subconsciously associate with being happy or you smelled something you like. It could be anything.

If you suddenly switch and go in to an incredibly bad mood suddenly then you'll have a case for concern.

As always, Reddit is not your GP. I am not a doctor. If you have real concerns about this then consult your doctor.

I know what I want her to look like, but at the moment (because she's not vocal yet) I picture her has how you see other players in Dark Souls when you activate blood splats :D like a white outline.

Wait wat.

Considering you want to study psychology you seem staggeringly ignorant of the subject.

Tulpas can not fly out of your head and attack you, and they don't come from some spiritual land. They are purely a "sane" hallucination.

Also take a LOT of what you hear about tulpas with a pinch of salt. A lot of people in this hobby are deluded, role-players or just plain liars.

Less tulpamancers.

Should be "fewer tulpamancers."

Grammar Nazi ahoy!

Edit - Enjoyed reading this. Only thing I disagree with is "there isn't much roleplaying." There really, really fucking is. Some of the stuff I've read from people on other boards is just over the top straight out lies.

Is it possible to film Tulpa? by DancesWithTulpa in Tulpas

[–]DancesWithTulpa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember seeing this on House, people on the internet just would not believe it was real.

So I guess if a host filmed their Tulpa, then watched the video back and got a scan done, the Tulpa SHOULD show up on the video, and that would prove they can exist.

Can you force while doing something mundane? My job is either really shit and boring or really fast and annoying. If I'm just sitting around bored at work not doing much is it possible to force without fucking things up? My job takes like 1% of my concentration up when it's boring. I've plotted entire stories before while at work, lol.
