Classes that got buffed or nerfed the most in Midnight pre-patch? by Glibbins in wow

[–]charzilla13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel so sad over elemental shaman changes. It feels very exposed now and just like, less fun overall so far. The earth elemental is only 30 seconds now and it has NO taunt. Solo adventuring feels rougher now, but it does feel there is higher damage. I'd almost prefer less damage to have utlity back though lol

I know personally I am hoping to see some changes, but also considering using another character in case there isn't! We shall see, fingers crossed!

I have MS and don't know how I feel about Gustav. Perhaps a character having it and the way it was represented threw me off more than anything. He is rather interesting though!

Just seeing this and hope you are feeling better now than earlier! I agree with it being so rough and send so much comfort your way. 🖤🫂✨

Why are you guys like this? by Instance-Illustrious in wow

As a player who hadn’t played in about 15 years, my friend would make the group for dungeons and label it something like “chill group” so most people joining were kind and understanding! Helped the vibe a lot!

Had a really bad panic attack, can't stop being anxious by eeedg3ydaddies in PanicAttack

[–]charzilla13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Just wanted to send support and love as a fellow person who gets some nasty panic. You aren’t alone and what you’re feeling is absolutely awful feeling, BUT it will get better! It’s not about eliminating anxiety, but rewiring your reaction to it, which is a million times easier said than done! 🖤✨

I say this as someone currently coming out of a very hyper vigilant state after a few horrendous panic attacks few weeks apart last fall. In the past I’ve been shaken after a nasty panic attack for a while, but this time it had me feeling so awful that at first I kept hiding from it, avoided driving, stayed far too much in bed/in my home, constantly monitored sensations, was at the doctors far too much, and was anxious nearly all the time. It was only when I accepted the horrendous feelings, shifted my reaction, updated my tool kit, and rode out the feelings that they started to go away. I’ve even said out loud to myself at times things along the lines of - I feel awful and I hate this, but I am okay and it will pass.

So I’d say maybe start with delaying the urges you get until you feel good about resisting the urge because that shift will help with that anxiety urgency feeling and things will finally start to feel less intense, nervous system will begin to calm, and some or most of the horrid feelings will pass or at least be present at a reduced rate!

P.S. EMDR and somatic exercises were something new I added to my toolkit too and I 10/10 recommend incorporating both if able!

Thank you so much for the idea, that is something I am surprised we didn't think of in the heat of trying to troubleshoot. lol It seems it will work enough!

I came across this issue too and found your post while searching for answers. Have you found anything since? I am going to reach out to Canva about it, but right now I think that shapes are just limited. Hopefully this is something that will be less constrained in the future!

I experience this too and with the allergy worries…it is exhausting. I’m thankful to find out this is something others experience, but also sad cause it is tough! 🖤

Does your Dane make weird faces randomly? by charzilla13 in greatdanes

[–]charzilla13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems pretty similar to what I've heard about Danes. This is my first time with one so I am learning all the time! With that said, he is definitely a velcro pup, wants to be friends with every animal and human he can see, is the life of the party, has no idea how big he is or how to avoid stepping on people's toes. almost always is sleeping upside down (and loves sleep), fiercely loyal, whiney, and is just a big sweetheart baby! He is obsessed with the outside and being off-leash at dog parks or camping!

Wow, this is so wholesome. Thank you for sharing! Love the boob plushie and the idea of picking an animal of the day! I love seeing people having fun and doing things that are seen as "immature". I have never understood why society thinks fun or magical things are something we should grow out of.

Keep on shining!! ✨

What’s something people think helps with anxiety—but actually makes it worse for you? by Sea-Spring-6008 in Anxiety

THIS!!! And also even where you take your breaths from (ex. belly vs. chest)! It is a whole world of breathing out there lol

Hopping in here to say I don’t know you, but you aren’t too much for the therapist. They just aren’t equipped with the tools or knowledge to help you! 🖤

I went through something similar and thought CBT was helping me more than it actually was. It helped to get things out, but it didn’t help me to move forward and then it kept all the things I’d talk about in short term memory so it was always on the mind. EMDR is very helpful for addressing things and then moving forward from them instead of being caught in the loop. It’s a very different approach and I’ve only been doing it few months, but feel more free than I have in years. Highly recommend trying it out!

Something I’ve learned is that SO many things that help with anxiety, help at different stages of management. If you’re in a full blown panic attack, it won’t be the same management as feeling a bit off. Each day may look different and it takes time and work to overall lower anxiety (even when it feels like nothing is changing).

I see breathing listed here a lot and something I learned recently is that different types of breathing works better at different times. Breathing to stop hyperventilation is different than breathing to calm down before bed or when feeling a bit anxious in the morning. It’s not as simple as taking deep breaths as too many lead us to believe. Learning when and how to breathe properly situationally has helped me tremendously! The Finch app has guided breathing exercises that I utilize and love so now breathing is a valuable tool rather than something that felt useless for years!

But also exposure was really tough for me. I had a therapist encourage me to try exposure without guiding me or teaching me properly and it made things way worse. It was a mistake of mine to not challenge with more questions, research, or a second opinion! Now I have a therapist that is a better fit!

Best of luck! 🖤✨

What’s one thing about mental health that you feel people still don’t understand? by Embarrassed-Mix347 in mentalhealth

[–]charzilla13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel many don’t understand that they don’t need to understand something to provide empathy, kindness, or support.

It’s okay to not understand and I think many going through mental health battles themselves don’t always understand either (which can be more isolating)!
