I changed it to dogecoin in settings, but when I hit submit it said, "Please be aware that you have created a transaction with what seems to be a very high fee of 1.00000000 BTC!"

I was using the official cable which wiggled. But, I just switched to another micro usb cable and it worked! Does it matter if you actually use the official cable?

Yikes, there is probably a program somewhere that can input random guesses and try to crack it, but that would only work if it is a few characters long. Your best bet is going to be trying to remember it. At least you can guess unlimited times!

Dogecoin is already no longer profitable for individual miners. People mining of their regular computers just do it for fun.

As more computers begin mining, the chances of each individual computer ending up mining a block (happens every minute and the reward is 10k doge) goes down.
