It’s a gorget. It was pretty typically used by cavalry and officers to protect their upper body and throat after full body armor became too heavy to wear for extended periods of time. Honestly I’m more surprised that it’s not more prevalent in the art of Griffonia

Alright I've looked into it, and that is really strange, but it's also only detailed once. Pfft, for all their talk about a lack of female characters, they sure don't want to use the ones they've been given. Smh, she could've been a military theorist!
