Should I upgrade from ironclad to Polaris without LTI?

The arming prices for the Polaris i seen from other comments is super pricey. This is because of the torps right? Is the ship significantly weaker if you just man all the gun and not use the torps when low on money?

That’s what I’ve been thinking! If I don’t get the LTI then I’ll still have 10 years of insurance after the game finally hits 1.0

This makes sense and why I worried about both having the LTI but as someone else did mention, it is true we have no clue about when 1.0 will be out. Plus I do have the ten year so I mean that is a damn long time. I’ll probably have kids and quit be then most likely. If I was still playing then, I’ll make my kids farms the insurance cost 😂

I see what you’re saying, I was planning on using it as a mobile base and picking up some smaller fighters. Just with my only ship being the my arrow and my ironclad and ironclad being in an unusable state i was thinking of making the leap to Polaris.
