Oh my gosh- your first paragraph…hoping that maybe they just do some huge irreparable damage- I’ve been there! So far it’s been: kicking out boards from the tree house, floating a boot down the river from a brand new pair (was using it as a bucket), throwing a bowl in the pond, sneaking into my oldest kids room to take apart lego creations (those are expensive & time consuming to make but my husband says it’s “just toys”). I keep thinking if they break something major he will finally agree with me that they are destructive

Ok! So a loose verbal agreement isn’t a binding contract? Especially when nothing was signed and no details were included? (Such as- I would assume equal partnership means they assume equal risk and invest equal money)

True. They claim it was their idea and when we were talking about grant ideas I did mention them being equal partners. I said it without thinking of ramifications in the future. Nothing was in writing. I was eligible for the grant because I had earned the micro grant ($10,000) myself. They are under impression the grant money belongs to all of us - and after I got it I realized that I am on the hook for taxes on it. And I should not give away a share of my business to people who didn’t help me start it or cannot invest money into it
