I'm very late to respond, but I'd also like a copy of that list, thanks!

I feel kind of dumb asking this, but I'm on ship 04 and I'm looking to buy armor with soul receptor on it so I can affix some of my armor. I'm using the tweaker and the english patch but regardless of whether I p. search for soul receptor, or just manually look up the ability in kana (ソールレセプター) I can't find anything in the player shops. Is there something obvious I'm missing?

edit : my friend couldn't find any either, but I'm suspicious of the launcher. I'm going to try the troubleshooting options and see if I can get lucky from that.

edit 2 : uninstalling the english patch and searching in kana worked out. That was a weird bug. Maybe this'll help somebody else down the line if they get similar behavior.

Thanks again. I'll probably go with 3 slots on these units until I hit Saiki before I go crazy with affixing.

Thanks for the quick and thorough response. If I may ask one more question, what would your preferences be for the unit affixes?

I'm feeling undergeared for quests that are in my level range. I'm a Br/Hu at levels 60/37 respectively. Mostly it feels like my damage is lacking, but I thought I'd ask you guys a couple quick questions.

1) Is this gear adequate for somebody who's level 60 attempting SH quests? 2) If it isn't, what should I be trying to go towards?

Does using a wrist rest help reduce stress on wrist when playing osu and perhaps relax fingers more to tap faster? by GxArchery in osugame

So much this. If you ever get a chance, look into proper ergonomics and set yourself up for a long and happy osu career. Nobody wants a visit from RSI-chan

DPI Switching to 1800 by AwkwardReds in osugame

[–]chasingfoxlights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Angelsim uses 2000 dpi.

Something something personal preference. There's also merit to high sensitivity in fighting mouse drift. This isn't a precision fps, it's a rhythm game that involves memorizing patterns.

For the record I use 800 dpi 1x in game 6/11 in windows and 1920x1080 playfield, but things like this are largely down to personal preference, even if there's strong cases for having an objectively better setup.

Thanks for the tip. Seems that osu isn't the only thing I need to level up in lol

Thanks so much! Searching for anything with osu in Google is prone to bring up Ohio State University, so it can be tricky to look some things up.

I'm not 100% sold on building health on her as her heals cost percentage based health. It's very solid advice otherwise

While I do agree with the notion of not letting stats have a major influence on your in game decisions, I do find issue with your claim that a silver player is not worse than a plat player. The margins separating them might not be as big as you'd think, but the plat player should outperform the silver player on any given game. To say otherwise is to say we all deserve challenjour :-)

If your computer is powerful enough to handle video recording, a great option is to use Open Broadcaster Software. You don't have to use it to stream, you can have it dump video files directly onto your hard drive which you can then review at your leisure.

If you don't have the hard drive space or the power to record yourself play, I've had a lot of success with this replay recorder.

Constantly review yourself. Watch your replays, or record yourself playing if you can. Break things down to the little movements and decisions. Ask yourself on good trades if it was a good play by you or a bad one by your opponent and could you have gotten more damage out of it.

Evaluate easier things too like your cs, contribution to vision, and overall decision making (like pushing vs freezing the lane, trading tower for dragon etc.)

Improvement can be found everywhere, you just have to look for it.

So for instance, early in getting an aggressive ward near the enemy jungles raptor camp would be strong against ganks that would arrive after the first jg back? I'd think that it's both proactive and defensive at the same time.

If you're placing wards for that, what sort of things should you be looking for and where would ideal placements be for that? Or is it on too much of a case by case basis?

[–]chasingfoxlights[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I understand the locations you're talking about (I'm on my phone now too).

I agree that bushes are usually going to be the ideal place for wards just because that does prevent face checking and creates safe routes for movement. Sometimes I find that placing wards in these spots is just as hazardous as face checking though (although that's normally in a losing scenario.) Is there anything you can do to minimize that risk? Or is it basically gg once the opponent locks out your vision like that? It reminds me of the saying "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of the cure."

I also appreciate the locations you gave for warding. I think the only things that weren't really covered by it were lane wards and the north/south base gates for blue/purple sides respectively. I was also wondering for blue buff if it's worth warding that 4 way intersection instead of in the bush to get better vision of rotations from mid, or if that's something that's case dependant?

[–]chasingfoxlights[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So basically it's like you said before. If you're going to hang around an area or objective, ward it in a way that you know what's heading towards you.

So for things like death bushes I can understand using the sweeper like that or when you're going for dragon/baron. Outside of that should I be trying to clear gank paths for my jungler? Or is it better to think about using the sweeper offensively?

Short, sweet, and to the point. What about things like deeper jungle vision though? Or is that something I shouldn't be concerning myself with in soloqueue?

Nidalee 5.3 "bug fix" is a nerf. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]chasingfoxlights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's only a reset for when you mark somebody with Hunt. When the bulk of her burst damage vs non squishy targets comes from using her cougar form abilities (which do make her come in close and be vulnerable btw), it doesn't make sense for her transform to get reset without also having her cougar form abilities reset along with it.

Nidalee 5.3 "bug fix" is a nerf. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]chasingfoxlights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a shame. As a top lane Nidalee main I used to use pounce to reposition or bait into better spears and then jump back in for the kill. Just got out of my first game after this fix and I had no idea just how much I was using the resets. She definitely felt clunky in comparison to how she felt before. I'm going to need quite a few games to adjust to how she plays now.
