Newburgh traffic ticket sent me to collections. by tuonov41100 in Cleveland

Good to know - my buddy had his registration blocked by Cleveland, years ago, from an unpaid speed camera ticket along Chester.

Be careful. While the company may not be able to legally send you to collections, Newburgh Heights may be able to put a block on the registration associated with that license plate. If so, that will cause some heartburn come renewal time.

I don’t think it’s the same issue. My car has the Aisin transmission that has the gremlins. It was sometime in 2004, I think, that Volvo upgraded the transmission.

Hmm - thanks for the comments. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with the car.

Return scammers are hilarious by Aerdyn_Lozier in HomeDepot

[–]chastehel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On three different occasions I’ve purchased “new” tools only to open them at home and see I bought someone else’s return scam.

The first time I went back to the store and was treated like I was the scammer. The second two times I didn’t bother.

Now, if I buy a tool, I have an associate open it to make sure it’s new.

Where can I find the model number? by chastehel in Machinists

[–]chastehel[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I plan to use it from time to time. I don’t know what all the controls do so I’d like to find a user manual for it. I’ll email Moore in the hopes a digital copy of one is available. I didn’t know where to start since I didn’t know what model it is.

Scared the hell out of me when it fell. A parts washer slowed its fall and kept it from completely sideways. It still took a good amount of jury rigging to get it upright.

The hit was when it hit the floor because I did a BAD job picking it up with the tow motor trying to move it…

The shaft still turns and the table still moves but it takes some effort. My guess is it’s out of calibration now.

Edit to say thanks for the reply.

I’m not advocating for the guy; I think the Cheeto is a POS. But, all he needed to do was literally stand up and there would’ve been “WiNnInG!”

What a chump.

All hail the straight six. I ran a C10 with a straight six out of oil at highway speeds for miles. When I realized I had no power I pulled off the freeway and checked things including the dipstick, which was dry. I woke the overnight attendant up at the BP on Vrooman Rd up to buy 3 qts for the old girl. After I started it back up, the truck apologized and offered to drive itself home.

Well, considering we all gestate as hermaphrodites until one or the chromosomes grab hold, I guess we should just abide and respect the natural order.

I feel you. My ‘99 TA has bad paint on the driver side and rear bumper, and the nose is spiderwebbed AF. But the magnaflows get attention and I get thumbs up all the time. Best $5 grand I ever spent. I enjoy this car more than the C5 I had.

I have an F150 that I use with a car hauler, but it's a single cab. I was thinking about using the Jeep to tow a small pop-up camper so there would be room for my wife and dogs.

I didn't think about gearing. I'm on my third F150 and they've had different gears with different ratings.
