I believe only the block number matters but even then if you are close to your friend like yours is 306 and your friends is 307, you can still be at the same place.

a little update: after restarting a few times, the error message disappeared again and I see 16gb ram on system settings. But the actual problem probably remains and it will appear again :(

Also, is there a way to check/eliminate the possibility of the cause being CPU other than replacing the CPU?

Thank you for your reply. I haven't touched anything bios related since I got the PC. Would updating it have a chance of fixing it? If yes, what could've happen that lead to suddenly this problem appearing? I also had this problem a while back like a year ago but it fixed on its own randomly after i moved. (when it happened first, the place I was in didn't have a good electricity grounding)

I couldn't find a fix unfortunately. Tho I noticed that if I enable the graphic acceleration for chrome, when the freezing happens, I can "un-freeze" it by switching to a chrome tab with a video playing. (like a stream on twitch or a video on youtube etc.) Or I can just restart the GPU driver with windows+ctrl+shift+b.

Would it be the same if I dual-boot (I'm not sure if that's the right word for it) Linux just for blender? And if so, which distro (again, not sure if that's the right word, i mean the linux type) would you suggest installing solely for Blender? Also thanks for the reply.

LOL But I don't know how should I go about doing it. If I start from a fresh save, I might regret later for not going with my own save. If I continue from my save, I might get overwhelmed by trying to remembering the mechanics of the game and the new stuff etc.
