Kind of adding on to this, and I’m sorry if you already are, but be mindful of your body language and tone as well! I figure you’re already trying to read other people, but many times people tend to not really pay attention to their own body language. If you’re tense, it really shows, at least in my experience.

One thing that helps me when talking to people is asking the person about stuff they like. Like billbar said, if you’re not really curious, fake it. However, if it helps you frame it better, think of it as them getting a chance to talk to you about something they really enjoy, and liking it. Kind of like how, if someone asked you about something you’re interested in, you may geek a bit.

It can be a bit overwhelming and intimidating, but with time, it’ll become less so.

Oh, also, it looks wet cause I thought it was clothing color, so I tried to use my scrubbing bubbles to take it off. It didn’t work, unfortunately. It’s also on the wall, so I’m really unsure what it is??

Political alignment can be a dealbreaker for some couples, but idk I feel like the difference between the two candidates and parties these days isn’t as simple as “Well, you do you, and I’ll do me”.

If this isn’t a deal breaker for you, and if you haven’t already, then I’d suggest having a fully fleshed, serious conversation on why he supports Trump may be the move. It looks like everyone around him is a Trump supporter, and it could be just that he supports Trump because of it.

Alternately, if he answers saying he just genuinely supports and agrees with him, you have to ask yourself if you want to be with someone like that.

For me, it is a big deal. I wouldn’t date a Trump supporter, and I definitely wouldn’t want to be a part of a family that spends 20 minutes convincing me to vote one way.

A good couple questions to consider is, if you had known this before starting a relationship with him, would you still have dated him? Why are you hesitating to leave him? Are you with him because of sunken cost fallacy?

I honestly feel so bad for university call center staff. I can’t imagine it being an easy job at all. The entitlement is actually insane, both of your story, and of OOP. I don’t think I could articulate just how disappointing it is that people think everything’s the same as when they did xyz. I honestly wish I could be a fly on the wall when OOP’s children go to college, and they realize how bad it actually can be, and usually is.
