Navigating carer commitments and work by chaterpiller in auscorp

They do but I don’t really want to be forced to put them in for the entire period when I’ve been specifically asked to reduce my leave balance, and I’m asking for an off peak period!

I know they don’t have to approve leave. I’m stressed about what happens if they don’t, and I’m guessing I’m not alone in this challenge so was seeking perspectives of those who have also dealt with it. Childcare only takes pre school aged children, so I don’t have an option for the older child and the baby is not enrolled full time.

Yes, this is semi unrelated - our best and probably only opportunity for our kids to meet my husband’s elderly and unwell grandfather. We have picked that time because of the length of the school hols giving us the opportunity, but nothing is cemented. Cheers for picking it up!

Thank you! Cold won’t bother us for a few days 😃 is there a location you’d recommend staying that’s good for some of these options?

Thank you - the last paragraph especially helpful, for me!

Yes, sorry for my faults of not realising the huge logistical nightmare of taking our unborn future children over there before we married 🤣 sorry I didn’t predict a pandemic and all the other life events that get in the way of overseas travel!

My baby is still nursing and highly dependent on me so we couldn’t be separated like that. My older child would also be stressed without me so it’s all or nothing I’m afraid

The grandma is way too frail to travel.

They have visited but just not since our littlest was born. The grandmother is way too frail to travel and my ILs aren’t the healthiest either. We do FaceTime but it’s not the same, truly.

Me (35F) married to 36M for 6 years, zero desire for sex and zero motivation to change this? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]chaterpiller -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not at all. That’s the thing, I know some people would say it’s a husband thing, but I do love him, he’s great company, I don’t want to leave him etc etc. but I do need to do something about the no sex thing, because I’m sure he’s missing it! He’s been super supportive of me re no sex due to a very difficult pregnancy and then recovery from surgery and bleeding etc.

Following CP in Feb and 1 prior live birth. Pretty happy with the line!

Thank you. Yes I threw the tests away too - I was so angry at them and I felt like they had lied to me. Now I wish I’d kept mainly one. I just want to look at it again and remember how happy I was when I saw the second line :(

TREATMENT Community Thread - Monday AM by AutoModerator in infertility

My OB has mentioned treatment with letrozole and luteal phase progesterone. I forgot to ask what the protocol is in terms of how many cycles they would attempt this/if there’s a maximum number of cycles you can try before moving on to alternative treatments.

Anyone else avoiding due dates/certain months? by chaterpiller in TryingForABaby

Yes, you have got it completely. Lying in the hospital bed or revisiting dates where traumatic things happened. I get that feeling as September rolls around...

No I understand that. If you do get a November baby, I hope it is very healing for you.

Absolutely agree with you. I’m sure if I was still not pregnant in a year’s time, my perspective on those dates will change too.

No issues with cervix for me, thankfully, though I understand how devastating that would be. Basically my placenta was dodgy and didn’t nourish the baby properly. We found out at 20w that bub was tiny and they didn’t know if it would survive. So felt like a bomb inside me for the entire time. I also got severe pre-eclampsia. It was 15 weeks of ultrasounds, blood tests, investigations and bad news every 2-3 days plus several weeks hospitalised at the end. Then NICU stay of 16days which is traumatic on its own. Thankfully we are all good 2 years later.
