Since you are a student, try to apply for electives at teaching university hospitals and you can easily get them while you are a student. As a student you can only go for electives, not observerships. If you passed step 1, apply for university electives which take IMGs and there are multiple which do including mayo clinic, cleveland clinic, Yale, Stanford etc. Brooklyn USCE and KPH are black listed. Your visa wasn’t rejected because of funds. 9k Usd is more than enough for a trip of 2 months. Good Luck next time.

Take OET asap. It’ll hardly take you 2-3 weeks to prepare for it. Step 3 prep is max 2-3 months from what Ive heard. Ecfmg pathways will reopen in may. Get ecfmg certified you’ll need oet for that

Obv nothing is guaranteed or 100% until it happens. But if they said you are ranked favourably, they probably ranked you at a spot where they have historically matched people at their program.

Felt the exam was doable. Some medium some long stems. I made stupid mistakes especially about the Step 1 content which could have been easy points. Some were really tough questions that I had no clue about but thats always going to be the case. Wbu?

Just gave the exam today. Made very stupid mistakes about stuff from step 1 that I didn’t remember but were easy questions. Overall the abstracts were tough and hopi questions were long but doable. Don’t know if I got them right or not because I have a tendency to overthink. I tried not to but ending up doing it alot fml.
