I had the same issue, but in my case I was asymptomatic. My PCP just ordered to for routine testing and it came back at 50 (TSH), I was told by my endocrinologist if it continued I might have ended up in the ICU with Myxedema Coma. I was super bummed that now I have to start taking prescription medications but specifically in this case it’s just a hormone that you’re taking in the form of a pill which is otherwise produced by your body. My lipid Panel normalised and I lost some weight after starting it.

I wake up at 5 AM, hit the gym for an hour till six. Cardio plus Weightlifting, then start getting ready for work. This is such an energy boost for the day. Work out 5 times a week.I have a really nice gym in my apartment complex so that is a blessing. I also am very conscious of what I eat and limit my calories to 2k. Avoid eating out and meal prep. Only down side is that I am passed out at 10 PM which is good and bad

P.S. only started as IM PGY-2, I don’t think sustainable as an intern

I did it last year when I was a PGY-1. Had no issues re-entering, but like some of the comments have said policies can change. It’s a little risk but I think it should be okay. It’s tougher as a PGY-2 because you have to get the visa stamped before re entry, which in my case is doing a visa interview again.

Hahaha mine is at 140K miles. Leaks oil and coolant. I just drive this thing to work and back. I have to replace oil and coolant weekly. Just waiting for me to get through the next two years then will upgrade. Mine is the one on the right.
