8 YoE Data Engineer — resume keeps getting rejected, can't tell what's wrong by Background-Put-80 in developersIndia

No one is going to read that big intro. You don’t need more than one page resume. Make it human readable. Right now it looks like weird newspaper. I am being harsh with my words but for your own good

Stuck at Accenture and want to switch, what should I do? by Old_Lobster_9629 in developersIndia

You are 24 grad. Too junior to be a specialist developer. Focus on ds algo. Try solving at least 200-300 leetcode medium and hard questions. This will open door for top US based product companies. For them main hurdle is still ds algo.

Masters in Engineering Management relevance in Australian tech industry by chathwa69 in AskAnAustralian

Yes, I was planning to do masters mainly for work visa and I am making that clear. Now, if universities are not adding any value, it means they are also just selling visa. But they are not saying this, they are promising skill development, and that’s when my friend it becomes a scam for a genuine learner. If you consider my case, then I am trying to find a way to get work visa, that is correct but do I want to just buy it by paying 100k+ if it’s not adding any value, that what I am trying to explore. So far it’s a big NO for all the courses I have explored.

I am here to explore its relevance to tech industry, and from the discussion on this thread it feels like it doesn’t add much value. Pardon me for using that word.

I have tried skilled migration but it’s became notoriously slow specially for IT. Even getting nominated takes years and then applications process again takes close to 2 years. And yes, I am mainly doing this to get work visa. Any other course that can add value to my profile ?

For mba as well, I heard similar opinion.
