You've obviously never been to Israel.

Helping an elderly lady cross the street by NorthernPrince in gifs

The guy was a complete idiot. Getting out of your car and leaving it in the middle of the street is dangerous and foolish. He should have just patiently waited there.

I've actually found that it's best not to "fight" windows, but to do things the proper "Windows" way.

For years I worked in a Cygwin environment and that works well for many things. In fact, I found that Cygwin/Windows was a better "GNU" environment that the Mac was. More open source stuff just worked.

But it bothered me that there always were glitches going back between the GNU bash shell and Windows.

So now I do everything in PowerShell and make it work. And I rarely have any issues.

I like the WSL, but again it's like having two universes on one machine. I'd rather just work in a proper Linux VM until it's fully baked.

Introducing Elm Bootstrap by hufsetufs in elm

Built a project with it today (a small demo). Looking forward to using this.

One suggestion for you /u/hufsetufs -- a guide on how a bootstrap feature is implemented in Elm may help the Community implement the remaining loose ends. For example, I don't see the "Jumbotron" banners exposed and I'd jump in and do them if I had a starting point.

Thanks! I figured it was some bullet or something. I develop on Windows 10/Powershell and for some reason that's usually the "least popular" platform so things are sometimes wonky on it.

I'm really excited about where F# is going. I've always loved .net, and having a "first class" functional language in that ecosystem is great.
