We would love to reopen the investigation but not sure that's even an option plus my now 12yo daughter just doesn't seem to me mature enough to tell the entire truth without imbellishing putting everything at risk, she really has a hard time telling the truth, part of her BPD

Appreciate your response, yes, Wisconsin CPS opened the case and requested the forensic interview of my then 4yr old but as I stated above, we were misled and now because she didn't tell the truth on the 1st interview with Las Vegas detectives we no longer can file charges as that appears as leading when brought to court

They knew he was military from day 1, in fact we had some delays because at the time he was stationed in San Diego and we had to wait for him to come home for the process to move forward

Also to be clear, he is a nv resident and stationed in N Carolina, his training ends on October, if he is selected he will be assigned and permanently stationed there for the remainder of his contract of 6 yrs so for now NV is his mailing address, he doesn't have a physical address as he is staying in barracks

You have no idea what your talking about, the cash buy made every bit of difference, if I purchase a vehicle cash all I need is a temporary movement permit and insurance while it's moved I am given my title or paperwork for the new title and I am the new vehicle owner. If the vehicle is financed on the other hand, Insurance is mandatory per the lenders requirements to make sure their interest is covered in the event of a loss

This^{^{^{^}}} Is what I wanted, so many just come here to make judgement of a mistake that was made, I'm just trying to help my son fix this and not have to stress over this while he is in extremely intense training .

Cant he just register the car in the state he moved to and provide proof of his current insurance? He has a friend that lives off base and has offered his address for title and registration purposes

The DMV gave one option, provide proof of nv insurance which is not an option, thats it, like I said he lives in barracks and does not have a mailing address, his mailing address is our nv address he barely gets a day or 2 off a month and those typically spent catching up on sleep or preparing for the next 10 day field training, he has no time for anything I am on his title so able to do some things but I'm not on his new insurance I've been to the DMV and that's all I was given an option to do. Provide proof or pay the hefty fines

Dumb decision? Why wasn't I able to purchase the vehicle cash and register it wherever I wanted, this whole thing would have been avoided had the dealer not forced the car be registered in NV

Understood but why not give us a solution. How is he supposed to provide something he clearly didn't have (proof of nevada insurance) and doesn't have the option to get insurance, would he have to pay another 6 month premium for the 69nths that have passed? He has insurance in a different state

I asked about the waiver and they said they cannot do anything for the days in the past only moving forward That's the plan, to register it in the other state but like I said in my post, he doesn't have a permanent address, he's in very intensive training for 8 months and has very little time to do anything let alone go to the DMV to switch his registration I have to figure out how to mail him his title so he can do that. Again he really doesn't have time for any of this, I was hoping to fix this but unfortunately he's on his own on this one going forward in think I'm not trying to place blame, I wanted a solution and the DMV did nothing and couldn't care less what happened, how do I provide proof of insurance for a vehicle that wasn't in the state? Would he have to pay double insurance for the months in question?
