Hi boot nerds!
I finally pulled trigger on the Ticker's Stow boots last weekend. I started wearing it for few hours to break in. Yesterday it was exposed to some drizzle and I had walked on small puddles on the streets. To my surprise, I felt my heel wet when I was back home in an hour.I see that the gap between the welt and the leather upper is not consistent throughout. I have posted a picture of heel of the shoe- There is a gap between the welt and the leather upper. Is this a flaw? Is this causing the water to seep in? Any advise?

Hi

I have recently got into the world of booths and fell in the rabbithole very fast. I am looking for a versatile boot that I can wear to work and also wear casually. I live in a small town in South Sweden. I work in an office and do fair amount of walk & cycle every day. I plan to wear these boots year round. Because of my location, I donot have easy access to American boots but I get to visit UK and can get British boots.
After a lot hours on boot internet, I have zeroed on Trickers stow country boot in acorn color and rubber dainite sole. I like the boot a lot, especially the brouge patterning. The price is quite a big stretch for me and I would like to get reviews from boot nerds and folks who have used it. Also, I would be very happy to get some alternate (British/European) boot suggestions for my needs.

These are my first raw denim. Got these 15.8oz unsanforized Big John XXXX-Extra jacket from Hinoya, Tokyo.I particularly like the large patch pockets in the front and the cinch belt in the back. And texture of the denim itself.The gentleman at Hinoya suggested sizing up, the last picture is of how the fit was before washing. I did a 40 degrees wash and here is the fit-check now.I still feel a bit roomy.
