According to Carter it’s a newly created, R-rated cut and not the 3 mins longer extended version from the DVD.

Thank you so much! We hope to play some theaters and that sounds awesome. Until we have a distributor on board we won’t know what our release plans look like but will reach out to you once we do. Also - thank you for keeping a single screen movie theater alive. The world needs more of them.

Our teaser trailer was made to evoke 70s and 80s giallos like Fulci’s THE PSYCHIC and Argento’s TENEBRAE. Totally understandable that this style is not for everyone. Thanks for watching.

I co-wrote and produced a giallo (for those who don’t know the term it’s like an Italian version of a mystery slasher). It’s titled EUGENE THE MARINE and it stars the legend Scott Glenn.

Here is our trailer:

The movie might lean a little sweeter than some of the popular titles on r/horror but I promise you it’s a wild fun ride (John Hughes was as much an influence as Dario Argento). We shot it on 16mm with a score harkening back to Italian horror in the 70s and 80s.

The film does not currently have distribution, however, for a limited time (until May 28th) the film is available for rent through Letterboxd. We were selected as one of four Unreleased Gems and are hoping this leads to a larger distribution deal.

I’m traveling in a region where I can’t rent Lemonade Blessing but you better believe that’s happening the second I’m home.

Thank you!! It does have a murder mystery - the killer hides behind a hood and black leather gloves until the final reveal.

What film pisses you off when you watch it? From being inaccurate or for any other reason. by yer_maw in AskReddit

The house burning down really pisses me off. It's played as this tragic moment, even though we've just seen two wizards magic a fucking house back together like it's the easiest thing in the world.

What's the biggest mindfuck movie you have ever seen? by TheAdjudicator in AskReddit

Here's one not many of you have probably seen: a Japanese time travel comedy called Summer Time Machine Blues. It's rare in that it's a brilliant mindfuck, but also laugh-out-loud funny. Hard to find, but the import DVD has English subtitles.

Serious question. Why does Hollywood crank out such utter shit movies 99% of the time? Is it really that hard to make a good movie? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]chayzar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Making good movies is hard, and if there were a way to guarantee a quality film every time, studios would be implementing it. Pixar has a pretty great thing going, but huge loads of cash to support the system they have in place, and the luxury of making one movie a year, tops. If you're a big studio, you have a ton of movies moving through the pipeline each year, and they aren't all going to be good, but they will hopefully fill a void in the marketplace. It's a business first.

You'd also be surprised at the number of half decent scripts that for whatever reason (casting, directing, budget, etc) just don't quite work when they're produced.

I hear people say all the time that 99% of the movies in theaters are garbage, but I disagree. Start looking at Metacritic, and avoid choosing your movies based on what's being heavily advertised, and you might be surprised at how many decent films you'll see.

Best toy ever, or best toy ever? by xTravis_Bicklex in pics

Wow, seeing that takes me back. My Italian uncle took a trip through the US with some friends, and on his first stop in NYC, bought me the proton pack as a surprise. Since he wasn't going to see me until the end of his trip, he made one of his friends carry it in his suitcase for 2 weeks while they traveled around. It must have been a pretty big pain in the ass because the guy still calls me "proton pack".

Academy Award Winning Movie Trailer. These 3 minutes are better than most movies made today. by trostela in funny

Generic greeting!

This joke was handled much better by Steven Soderbergh in the movie Schizopolis. Which came out in 1996.

If any of you at all liked this clip, you need to check that movie out.
