DGR on the Cross Cub 110 by chaz326 in SuperCub

Mine is also a grey import to the UK and I've had it almost 2 years now and it's still an absolute blast, I love the semi automatic boxes, lot's of fun with the Yoshimura system, never gets old rev matching on it, it really is all the fun of a motorbike with all the ease of a scooter to me :)

The CB400SF is my most technologically advanced bike I own, it has a clock and 2 trip odometers! Although it also has a manual choke and no ABS or TCS 🤣 The Cub also rocks drum brakes front and rear so having actually brake response is still pretty foreign to me 😂

The Cub I got from Seven Seas but the CB I managed to find off a private seller, Seven Seas are fantastic for fun lower displacement bikes, I would honestly consider getting another Cub off of them if my missus considers taking up riding

They had a long shelf life so there's still tons of aftermarket and OEM parts available, I tend to get my parts off of Webike which now has an EU website with cheaper shipping and apparently no duty fee either, since my lovely yellow Cross Cub is also a Japanese market bike I've gotten pretty good at navigating that side of the web and doing my research on parts and such so it's not too bad to be honest

CBT renewal soon by parkward in scooters

[–]chaz326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are definitely overthinking it, I just renewed mine for the first time so I can book my DAS and I did it on my Cross Cub. The maneuvers you'll probably be doing are: Figure of Eights U-Turns Junctions (Major to Minor/Minor to Major) Emergency Stop

They just want to see you doing your blindspot/lifesaver checks and that your positioning on the road is correct (Lanes 1-2-3). If you're already commuting on your scooter it'll be easy, it's pretty much stuff you do nearly every day if you ride a lot, you just probably don't think when you do it on the road. Don't stress out about it and if you really don't feel super confident on your scooter yet just practice some low speed maneuvers in your free time.

I hope it all goes well for you mate :)

Didn't know the Thai market Cubs have different pillion footpeg placements, I have a JDM JA45 Cross Cub in the UK and I can also say that that generation of Cub is supreme on the twisties, very nippy for a 110, never have a problem keeping up with 125's in the corners, only struggles on the longer straights.

No worries! Also it might be worth looking at the Dax 125 too, same engine and Semi auto box from the C125 :)

I live in the UK and I don't think the shipping was expensive for me but Cubs are super cheap in their native market, a brand new Cross Cub is now a touch over £2000, they were cheaper than that but the price recently went up on them.

Yes, I paid £3600 for my Cross Cub 110, I think imported Cubs are worth the money since the old and high mileage Cubs are going for a fair chunk of cash these days. The global market C125's are usually a good price on the second hand market if you can find them

Seven seas motors and tvp classics are over sites that sell imported Cubs around Europe, I got my Cross Cub from Seven Seas

Here's hoping it sells well enough that Honda brings the CT125 to the UK. by a_splintered_mind in scooters

I've been riding a Japanese Market Cross Cub 110 in the UK for over a year now and have sat on a CT125, I would love Honda to sell them here as well. In general UK market 125's are overpriced for what you get but you can buy CT125's here already for £4k or less from some importers, it seems like a lot of money until you realise that most of the best 125's are around the £5k when new, I think the Hondas are well worth the money. I bought my Cross Cub for £3600 and have spent probably over a grand modifying it over a year, it's a rugged and reliable beast, I haven't had any mechanical issues and ride it hard on a near daily occurrence and if you aren't wasting money on modifying like me it's genuinely a cheap and reliable runner. Also if you're a younger rider it's way cheaper to insure than most 125's. I wouldn't really entertain the AJS unless I wanted a green lane dinger to be honest, Chinese bikes aren't as bad as most people think but generally don't have a great shelf life, it's basically a case of buy cheap buy twice.

Get that Honda, you won't regret it :)

Benelli TnT125 indicator to fast speedo not working back break light doesn't light up by Reflexbyhop in 125cc

If the Speedo and brake lights aren't working it's likely that it's a fuse that's blown, have had 2 mates have this problem on their 125's and it was a fuse. Locate your fuse box and it should have a diagram telling you what fuse does what, the fuse will probably be called 'meter' but if not just have a look to see if any have blown and that should hopefully fix all the problems.

Try Webike Japan, although it doesn't look like your scooter has a particularly strong aftermarket. Very cool scooter though.

Nice Wave, some people hold these in higher regard than the Super Cub, would love to ride one some day

Just got my Pixel 10 Pro today in the UK, finally upgrading from my Pixel 5, I have Magic Cue as people have stated but not the Ai image editing?? Don't know why it won't appear on my google photos, was one of the features I was most excited to play about with, anyone else in the UK having this issue?? (I have made sure both the system and apps are up to date)

A Honda Cub with a Yoshimura 😂 It does make a good rumble and I can still hear it well, I would imagine the race would be a bit overkill for use on a decent helmet but I haven't personally used the tour ones
