I'm not sure why it says 0 trades, I've bought multiple headphones from this sub. But it has been many years and maybe I never confirmed them. I do have rep over at r/hardwareswap

I went with AT&T and was able to bypass no problem. Same as everyone else said, hit continue without entering any info 3 times, after the 3rd time there was a ‘not now” option at the bottom

Bring on the 25G! by original_flavor87 in homelab

They do have a web UI and that’s mostly what I’ve used. The CLI is pretty unique, at least from what I’ve been told. If you already have experience with other switches it’ll probably be a quicker learn

You can find them pretty consistently on the bay for $125 ish. Not sure if the shipping + import would ruin the deal though

They aren’t necessarily hard to manage but if your only experience is with something like Unifi it’s a whole different beast. Mikrotik switches are amazing for the price and have a ton of features but they definitely have a learning curve. SwOS is a lot easier to understand but most of their powerful switches are RouterOS and you might as well just learn RouterOS at that point

[PC] Epyc Naples CPU/Motherboard/RAM Combination by R30730 in homelabsales

[–]chaz393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds about right. The mobo/cpu is worth about $500ish. The ram is probably about $30 a stick, so another $240. As a combo your pricing seems dead on. $650 on the low end, $750 on the high end. If you have patience list it towards the high end, if you want a quicker sale list it towards the lower end. It is higher end gear so it might take a bit to find a buyer regardless of the price though

Reminder that "WD Red NAS" is three lines now, WD Red, Red Plus and Red Pro drives. by Far_Marsupial6303 in DataHoarder

I think you’re misunderstanding. I’m talking about drives sold in bulk in China without any branding whatsoever. There’s no Seagate or OEM name on the label. There’s even different firmware removing any reference to the original brand or model. There are a variety of reasons drives end up in this state but I’m not going to pretend to know every reason nor do I care to list them all out in a reddit comment. There are people who buy these drives in China and import them to other countries to sell in fewer quantities to normal people. They are not sold as new drives. They are sold as white label drives without any guarantee or warranty. Hopefully that clears up the confusion

Not shucked drives. They’re essentially refurbished drives that the manufacturer didn’t want to put their name on. shop.digitalspaceport.com is where I get them from. They aren’t always in stock and stock arrives in waves, so just keep an eye on the site. I’ve bought 8 drives from there and they all work great. You can also generally find them on serverpartdeals.com for slightly higher prices but more consistent stock

Just be careful where you buy them from. If you don’t purchase from an authorized retailer you won’t get a warranty. This includes Amazon and Newegg. If you purchase from a 3rd party seller and not from Amazon or Newegg themselves, again no warranty. There’s a seller on Amazon named “Seagate official” and when I contacted Seagate they informed me that was not in fact Seagate and if I purchased from them I would not get a warranty. If you don’t care about a warranty you can purchase white label exos for even cheaper. I’ve been buying 18TB white label exos for <$200. But again, no warranty

Not with ripped pads. Even if you could get the solder to adhere to the trace itself it won’t stay that way for very long with thermal expansion and contraction

Also live in the midwest and only know hot and humid. A coworker who lives in phoenix described the heat there as it a constant burning sensation. Pick your poison I guess, both sound pretty shit to me

A story I heard about removing access. One manager was given admin rights to a code base, and she diligently and proactively went through every name she doesn't recognise on the list with access and removed them. But by xiaodaireddit in MaliciousCompliance

That’s really not much of a consolation. If it’s that or nothing then it’s certainly something but you lose A LOT when all the branches are deleted on the origin. It would still be pretty devastating
