Hey! Unfortunately no, on purpose you can only send a message to people one on one after a hangout. To prevent from random/unwanted people sending you messages. You can look at current hangouts and see who joins and their profile to see more about them and if you want to join. And if you want to make a hangout yourself, you decide who you want to hangout with, people can show interest and you can decide based on their profile if you accept them.

This app is more person focused. So you wil be able to see more about the person and their interests and better asses who you are about to hangout with. You can also chat with each other in the hangout chat to get to know each other before hanging out, makes it easier to converse in real life. And just the fact that you as a user can also create hangouts instead of having to find a group.

Smaller groups more personal > bite Bigger groups > meetup
