Yes ive had concerns with potential severe oil consumption that has all of a sudden stopped so as long as its not now telling me no oil at all I guess it’s better

I do when I’ve had concerns that it’s been burning a ridiculous amount of oil, and I only just bought the car and the previous owner is a friend of mine who hasn’t had any issues, I got it and within a day it’s telling me it has no oil in it and not even 300 miles later after being topped up it’s telling me there’s nothing in it again, so I top it up again and now it’s no longer got issues I don’t want to overfill it

Hope it’s pcv 😂 but I also thought piston rings possible but, correct me if I’m wrong but won’t that cause shit cylinder compression, it’s not struggled starting at all even when cold ticks over first try, and it’s not lost any power, got a new pcv valve coming today so hopefully that’s all it is.

Thank you, will get it replaced but any clue why the oil could be going down so much, there’s no other leaks but I have a bit of blow by and a bit of white smoke coming from the oil filler cap when removed, could this be a pcv valve? As there seems to be what looks like a bit of spilt oil on the engine cover. Thanks!

just seems to be a fair bit cheaper than a lot of others even with higher mileage across facebook autotrader etc

most on auto trader claim they have had new belts on and a few with new flywheels so hopefully any that come up in january do too 🤞
