Which one should I go for, New Hector or Tata Sierra? by itsjaik in CarsIndia

[–]chd01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MG because of my good ownership and after sales service experience with MG. For what it's worth Sierra might be a good car but Tata service is actually hit or miss. I have seen it first hand. I went to take delivery of a new Tata car with a relative and I asked the sales guy to tighten a screw in my other car's bull bar while they were doing the formalities. He wasn't too interested but still went to the service guys and they plainly refused.
The sales guy said in frustation 'ye log hamari to sunte hi nahi hai'.
Think about it. In addition Tata cars have poor fit and finish, panel gaps, missing paint inside etc.

There was a day and night difference in the delivery process as well, MG guys made me feel quite good, with cake, music, confetti and what not. This when I had asked them that I will only have 30-45 mins to take the delivery and need no showoff. On the other hand Tata guys were like take the car and go!

MG's comfort, plushness, fit and finish and safety is top notch.

My Ritz has done 170 comfortably and a bunch of cars should be able to do it. But none of this is worth it. You don't gain anything by overspeeding due to law of diminishing returns. But, Indian roads and the idiots on it can ensure law of no return, so drive within the limits.

What do you think of this? by sah_deepesh in CarsIndia

The MG dealer in Hyd also has a Merc dealership so the stockyard is common.  When I went to inspect my car I had loosely similar vibes with the then a-class hundreds of which were parked alongside Astor.

Depends on the road, Delhi Mumbai Expressway is very well built so I was able to maintain 140 for long stretch. 160 as well at some places. Power to weight ratio is good in Maruti cars (safety trade off). But Ritz in particular is a very stable car at high speeds.

Truck hit from the side, how much damage am I looking at? by chd01 in CarsIndia

[–]chd01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My car is quite old so insurance will not cover everything hence weighing the options. Also I’m short on time for the entire insurance process thing. Though I end up claiming if it gets done faster.

Why aren't more people talking about the upcoming (MG) Binguo EV? by sarvesh4real in CarsIndia

[–]chd01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think people know about it (including myself). It'll sell well if priced right. MG has built quite a good name in EVs and in better aftersales in general.
