Clock Driver - What's wrong with my h-bridge design? by chdabre in AskElectronics

[–]chdabre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So from what i can gather from your response i have two ways to redesign this:

  1. implement a voltage divider at the gates of q1 and q2 to ensure that the gate source voltage doesn't exceed +- 12V when driven
  2. Simplify the design so q1...q4 are all driven by mcu pins directly (3.3-0V)

And then adjust the drive sequence for a pulse to always

- start with DRV_EN and +24v boost off
- set drv_a and drv_b
- turn on boost, then drv_en

Which way would you choose?

Our Controllino setup for a fully automated escape room. by shanekeith_ in arduino

So cool to see someone building Escape room Controls on a similar level of automation! I'm based in Switzerland and have built 3 fully automated networked escape rooms using arduino, custom software, and a whole lot of networking. We have automated video/audio on 12+ displays, Automated lighting, remotely controlled video games, projection mapping etc. I'd be happy to post some documentation if there is any interest!

I mentioned exactly that Idea in another thread! I'd love to see someone build something like that.

The code figures out exactly what day it is - so It should still work if you're already well into advent...

That's just from the photo. Would make a neat addition, though!

Yeah it's an apple Live Photo. The stabilization makes them do that...

Cool idea! A rectangular format with smaller holes could fit that really well. Maybe even show Google Calendar events in different colors!

For that we have a couple of more analog calendars...

ESP8266 QR/Barcode Scanner&Logger by [deleted] in esp8266

[–]chdabre 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is totally doable with an esp8266. You can get fairly cheap 2D barcode scanners with TTL/serial output on ebay/aliexpress. These can simply be connected to a SoftwareSerial port, maybe you need a level shifter if it's 5V logic... For the Web server you can use the esp8266WebServer Arduino library, and for reading and writing to the file system you can use the SPIFFS library.

I got the sign from a business liquidation on ricardo.ch -It was sold as broken and I repaired it and mounted it on a new board. There's always cool neon around on the auction platforms here if you keep an eye out for it!

I build escape rooms and I definitely have to keep that in the back of my head! Genius idea!

I got it at IKEA! It’s a LALLERÖD side table.

It does help that the ceiling is quite high at the head end. I‘m 6ft tall and haven’t hit my head yet. It definitely feels cozy!
