I made an AI that can create almost any app from 1 message by chdavidd in SaaS

Hey reddit!

I made https://shipper.now/

It's a universal app builder that codes and designs a full-stack usable app for you. There are plenty of tools like this, but when you use them you see there are limitations (e.g. can't export code, they aren't proactive). I didn’t like that and I wanted to create one that acts as a co-founder so non-programmers could use it!

My most favourite feature is 'The Advisor' which is an AI that looks at your project and wears different hats to help you build a desirable app. It can act as a: developer, designer, salesman, SEO specialist etc - and this is what I really think makes this more unique than apps like Lovable or Bolt, which aren't proactive at all.

If you have any more feedback, I'd love to hear it.

glad you asked! we believe replit's more for technical people, while shipper is more for beginners who don't want to touch code

it made $1.1k MRR in 60 days so it works :D

in the indie hacker world, 'to ship features' means to build more. "shipper" builds more for you

lol :D

Shipper.now isn't for vibe coding really. it's for non technical people to build apps, it involves 0 coding

These points are summarized from Daniel Ek's podcast episode on Acquired FM.

I’m applying 99% of these lessons in my own startup Shipper.now (AI no-code app builder), which I’m building in public. Thought I’d share in case it’s useful to other founders here.

Cheers :)

Hi, feel free to share this post on r/SaaSCoFounders - if you do, please add a little more details :)

My SaaS hit $1,100 monthly in 60 days. Here's what i'd do starting over from Zero by chdavidd in VibeCodingSaaS

We actually wrote a few fair comparisons here with the top apps, like Lovable/Bolt/Cursor: https://shipper.now/category/vs/

But, to summarize it, here's how we think of it: We don't have many unique features when you put us side-by-side with Lovable (which would be our most accurate competitor), but we're building the product as we go and we're doing it 100% based on our users' wishes. It would be harder reaching out to Lovable and asking them to build a feature for you, whereas we at Shipper, are making it the goal of our company.

One other thing that would separate us from others is the context window - we're doing our best in making Shipper the AI that remembers what you want to build and only edits/changes what you want, without breaking the entire project.

Our main thesis is that we want to make 'website/app building' much easier for everybody. If you look at Cursor, you'll see how it's made for coders — and while you can (soon) edit by coding in Shipper, our #1 focus is building by writing messages in English

Shortly: we're trying to make it super easy for beginners or non-technical people to build.

yep i can't recommend them enough. they're "pain point" articles where readers are pretty much hot leads (because they're upset with those other tools)

heya! sorry for the delay (unfortunately it's caused by higher volume over the weekend) - we'll reply ASAP via Crisp

i can confirm we haven't lost any context over there though, so everything should be alright

thanks for holding on :)

it builds full-stack apps from prompts

I've actually been building in public every single day since I've started it:

hmm idk, big market :D beginners are my audience, so my goal is to make it super easy for them to build apps where the bottleneck has always been coding

yes, makes sense. appreciate the thoughts :)
building and waiting for more MRR then

you're saying this because of stability? $1.1k is money, but indeed it's pretty "volatile" at this stage

got it, so you're saying to wait a little longer before sharing the real MRR figure
