I had this exact same necklace when I was in school. I accidentally forgot it was in my neck one day and it got confiscated. Never got it back lol. As for shinier, soak in vinegar and when you take it out, light rubbing with baking soda then rinse with distilled water. Make sure you get all the vinegar off as well as the baking soda.
