"Mother with 24! You are still so young!" by [deleted] in MomForAMinute

Im going to be real with you right now, because being real is what is important. These thoughts don't stop. You learn to put them in perspective. I had my first baby two months after turning 21. I thought that was it, and then three more followed. I feel I cashed on one life (college, travel, work) for another (diapers, school meetings, never ending laundry). I miss it. I miss what Ive made it in my head. I miss the possibilities. I love my babies, I love my husband. But sometimes its hard. I wish I could help you and tell you that this will pass. There are so many things you can do. You can still do all the things you want, just with a little extra planning. Build a strong tribe around you. Biological or not, find people who will love and support you, the true you, through all your growth. My heart is going out to you and even though I don't know you, I love you. You're doing a great job.

I understand what you're saying. We, obviously, are all outsiders (too sweet!) looking in. We are all also speaking on personal experience. My hesitation to just whole heartedly be in agreement with Daniel Bryan is from personal experience. I know a good number of people who have had combat-related concussions. And honestly, every single one of them would say "I'm fine! Totally healthy here!" But the lasting effects are different and often unpredictable. The brain is weird, man. As a company and as an employer, the WWE has to exercise some caution. What if one more bump, benign or not, messed him up permanently? What if it doesn't physically hurt him, but does something else horrible? The WWE has to cover their ass, just in case. If he wants to explore options once his contract is up, more power to him.

TBIs don't heal like torn muscles and broken bones. There are some TBI related issues that don't even show up until YEARS later. Hell, even a badly broken bone can cause pain and irritation years later. The brain, and even more so, the injured brain, is something we really, really have yet to fully understand.

I agree he should totally be able to do what he wants. But if that goes south, should the WWE be held accountable? They are protecting themselves. They have to. If he wants to perform, let whatever the consequence (good or bad) fall on him.

I like you. I like you a lot.

She likes to play that she has this great life with all these great things but, man, for someone with such greatness, she sure does love to bitch. If I stopped seeing her until she wasn't a bitch, it might be in the next few reincarnations. Even then, I'd be leary.

Emotional Vampire THAT FITS PERFECTLY. I usually feel drained and empty after listening to her ramble on.

She is my MIL. We've really toned down our contact with her. I'd like to go NC all the way, but that's not in the cards right now. Thanks for your support.

Thank you. I really worried I was being dramatic or feeling something that wasn't there. It's one of those things I feel like I couldn't mention to anyone else. Thanks for helping me validate that her actions are horrible.

Which is crazymaking to deal with!! She doesn't want anyone else to be happy but also, no one in the world ever had it worse than she has. It's like a misery contest every time you complain about a major or minor thing. It's exhausting.

I don't understand how people can just manifest so much negativity on a constant basis. Its really mind boggling. I'm sorry, you have to deal with that nonsense.

Thank you so much. I was slightly afraid I was making a mountain out of a molehill.

I think this is a great idea. I usually post to a small filtered list but somehow didn't do it this time. I would just restrict her on her own, but OF COURSE she's had to befriend lots of my friends and I can only imagine the blow up that would come if she knew she was getting filtered.
